I now have my new 2102 M Hybrid and I am getting use to the various features but have a Navigation question. Am I wrong in thinking that a voice should be giving me guidance?

I have gone through the settings menu and have guidance on and volume at 75% but no voice announcing turns etc.?

Thanks for your "guidance" lol

There should be a Guidance on/off "switch" on the same list of options as the Guidance volume. I'll be in my car in a little bit and will double check.

Good Day Debonair & Rogue One,

Thanks for your comments and the helpful links. Will review and then see if I can figure out what is going on. I did notice this morning that while playing music via my Android phone with a route selected that prior to turns the music would be lowered slightly but no voice guidance...

There appears to be little difference between the 12 and 13. Here's a video from Infiniti about the 2013 NAV unit.

Set a destination and press the 'voice button on the dash. Then turn the radio volume up higher. you should notice on the display the icon change.

Basically the volume knob controls both the radio volume and the navigation volume.

I found out that I accidently turned down the radio volume while the navi was giving me voice prompts. Doing so muted navigation prompts.

Sorry to hear that. If it's any consolation, you could take it to any Nissan dealership (they might charge less for service). I think your head unit (if that's where the problem lays) was also used in the same year for the following:
370Z
Maxima
Murano
Quest

This is most likely the issue.

Hi, I tried as you suggested and saw the checkered flag shown against the volume bar but still no guidance. I ran a self diagnostic and it said all was fine with Nav ... I will have to have it checked by the Dealer

Ok so the car is at the Infiniti dealer because the Broker I bought it from could not fix the Backup Camera issue - blue screen. A known issue at time of purchase that they are obliged to correct.

First the Broker tried a new camera about 3 weeks ago but no luck then I took it back to them on Friday so they could change out the "module" still no luck so it is now with the local dealer.

I reminded the Broker that the the navigation voice guidance prompts are not working and they advised once the camera was fixed the prompts would also work. Does this sound right?

Thanks.

One is video and the other is audio, you never know how these things are intertwined but I don't think it would be. I always go to the sale guys/gals first. Sometimes they are more helpful than the service guys.

Good luck.

Andy
