Well, To be honest I felt kinda weird spending 2k on a CA front clip. These are supposed to be the cheap motors, But any way Im happy with mine. After looking at it some more and pulling the engine harness from the clip im VERY happy. I started to notice things like the air filter was clean, So I look at it "Pit Works, By Nissan" hmmn oil filter says that too. Then it dawned on me that my car had been very well maintned. The inside of the motor was very clean but not to clean as too make you worry and the turbo spun fine and had almost no shaft play. The IC pipes were dry and the was no build up of oil by the TB. Then the saving grace, I go to pull the ecu abd the rest of the harness and i see a big oval sticker on the ECU that says " NISMO paddock in Chiba" SWEET. So l am very happy, The car was maintaned by Nissan and even had a T belt job done. The compression checked out good to around 165-170. Needless to say its going in stock after I do the t belt again. Im just gonna clean it up and drop it in, It even has a uncut downpipe.

I'm hoping you figure out how to get to the transmission and find out.

You did VERY well. If mine would have been in that kind of shape I wouldn't be replacing the rings...

A DSM is something I think Zach and I could go the rest of our lives without. I've owned 3 and I know Zach has had about double that.

3 Galant VR4s, 3 Turbo DSMs. Im done, I do have ALOT of parts for sale though.....

Anyway, The clutch is stock. Pulling a motor/trans for a front clip while its on a trailer is not a fun thing to do. It did come out fine though. The motors in my garage now so I can change the t belt and seals on the motor and put on a new turbo and injectors. The turbo on it seems to be in VERY good shape though. IT dosent look like the s13 SR turbo that has the 2 bolts on the compressor inlet. Anyone have a picture of a stock CA RWD turbo?

Hmmm I've got a busted DSM in my garage right now.... motor doesn't wanna spin at all. I need to yank it and see if I can get it to "unlock" then either replace the whole thing or hone the cylinders and re-ring it... sell this stupid POS! Nice car other than that though....... What parts you got for sale?

Oh and who'd you get your clip from? Sounds like they're selling decent stuff. I hate to pony up $1200-1500 for one then just get a pile of junk and have to spend $$ more... already planning a total gasket kit and re-ring for whatever I get.. new bearings, etc..

Oh here's a stock CA pic...

if its a real nismo, i dont think it would be socketed. if its real, its a VERY high dollar peice of equipment.

Yeah, Like I said I dont think its just a sticker.I know its real, It shows in the matenice and the way the car was. I think the guy was a dealership whore. It didnt look lke it had ever been out so Im sure its a real deal. More money to pay for the power FC.
