Ok, some obvious ones popped out at me. I notice most people go with Walbro Fuel Pumps, but also saw some Z32 pumps. What is the difference in flow from the Walbro to a Z32?

MAFs were also very similar most people use the Z32, I am guessing it is a simple plug and play. I noticed one person used the RB and a few used the KA24e. Do the sizes really vary with these?

Injectors, a lot of people don't mention the companies they use but I found Denso, Lucas, and MSD popping up some. Sizes ranged from 370CC to 750CC. Is there a real common large replacement for the injectors?

Intercoolers were all over the board. HKS, ARC SMIC, Spearco, XS, Greddy, Blitz, and some customs one showed up. I guess I will have to do some research on the most efficient.

BOVs were pretty the same with Blitz, Greddy, and Trust coming up. I have no real questions about this.

Boost controllers out of all the mod list I found most people used the Blitz followed by the Apex'i AVC-R. Also found HKS, Turbo XS, and Hallman.

So am I pretty on with the common companies used for the particular mods?

I am trying to get an idea what is popular with the CA.

Thanks for your time, and if this is posted somewhere else can I get a link, and this can get locked.

Both fuel pumps flow about the same rate (255lph). No clue on the install of the Z32 pump, but the walbro took me about 20mins to put in.

MAFS- Only the KA24E is plug and play. The RB/Maxima/Z32 mafs all use the same connector but are wired up differently. Also, the RB/Maxima maf is good to about 310hp and the Z32 maf is good upwards of 500hp.

Injectors-- Any top feed, low-impedance "msd style" should work without much of a hassle. Injectors from a DSM work great, are rated at 450cc and cost anywhere from $50-75 for a set used. 444 (skyine, gtir) injectors and dsm 450s seem to the be the most common upgrade.

Intercoolers-- This all depends on the money you want to spend and if you want the JDM bling effect. Personally, I chose the ssauto fmic kit and for $300, its hard to beat.

BOV- Ideally you want one that has recirculation abilities but if not, the HKS ssqv works great vented and has no bogging or stumbling issues.

Boost controllers- If you are running a small(er) turbo, stick with a cheap manual boost controller. I have tried both the AVC-R and the Greddy profec and both seem to have trouble with small quick spooling turbos.

Hope that answers some of your questions.

Wow, thanks for a good start to this thread.

I will have to look at the autochrome intercoolers on ebay.

my intercooler is an ebay special. i wanted one small enough so i didnt have to mess with the bumper support. its something like 25x6x3. works great. you dont need a huge intercooler to support some power.

I have read that the Ebay test pipes work great also. You have any experience with this item?

its not exactly a precision piece of equipment. some joe can make it in his garage just as well as some big name company. i would ebay it up, just dont get carried away. there are plenty of things not safe to buy on ebay.
