Dear Diary,

OK. So I finally get my 240 back after about few days, it was in for repairs and new brake/rotors.

Now I usually never speed in my 240, but this time I felt like speeding. I mean when you're on the open road, you tend to think "Well, what are the odds of a cop stopping me today?" And then it goes downhill from there.....

So I arrive at the shop to pick up my vehicle, and then i proceed to get on the road. Well, instead of conserving fuel and taking the freeway, I take the long, windy route home. So as I am passing stop light after stop light, I finally come to teh point of the road where it gets really wide and open, with no cars around, no stoplights for almost a mile. I am still cruising at the 45 mph limit on 5th, just cruising really.

Then, as I am in bissful state of mind, I hear a really loud *RAWRRRR*, *RAWR* *RAWR*, *RAWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*

I'm like "what the f...." and mud-covered filthy truck just flies by me in the next lane. As I saw it pulling ahead of me, I looked at the rear to see if there are any emblems and/or badges that could identify this monstrocity. I saw the emblem, it was Toyota. Then I saw a silver badge, V8.

I thought to myself, "Is this that 282-hp 4.7-liter v8 monster??" I was just focused on that v8 badge, thinking what kind of power does that insane thing must have. So as I am sitting in my seat, idling while the tundra is leaving me in the dust, I figure, why not find out.

So as the bed is about to pull away from my front clip, I just drop it in 3rd gear, reaching rpms of 7k. The pulling stops. The rear bed is stuck at my hood, but as i shifted gears into 4th, it pulled again. However, as i gained higher rpms in the 4th gear, I started to gain on it again. This was a real Tug of War between the both of us. I wasn't paying attention to the speeds I had been reaching, as I was more concerned with the RPMs i was reaching, being very careful not to miss a shift and to get the most out of each gear.

So as I am gaining on the Tundra, I rapidly look ahead of me, and there! I spot a cop under the shade of a tree, just chilling on his bike. So we both dramtically slow down, but by the time I saw him I was pretty sure we were going to be cited.

So we both pass the cop, the cop knows its his cue and moves. His lights and sirens are on and he yells through his PA "Pull Over!". So we both pull over to the curb. So he cites us both and the cop send us on our way. Now when this started, it was about 5 in the evening, so now its 6. So it got pretty dark. So then as me and the tundra are leaving the scene, it gets behind me. Now we finally get to the windy, 2-lane part of the road. The Tundra is just cruising behind me for a few miles, when I see a really bright light in my rear mirrors. They were high beams, and really annoying. Then the lights star flashing, I getting kinda pissed at this point. At this point, I pulled over to let them pass thru. What I hoped wouldn't happen, happened. The Tundra also pulled over behind my and parked. So as I am sitting in my car, just sittiing there, i hear 2 doors slam. i'm like "ah man what do these guys want now, we're in the middle of no where with no one around and no cell signal." I'm getting really nervous when the 2 approach my doors, so i grab my trusty maglite getting ready for the worst. So as soon as I grab my mag, I hear something from the passenger door, "Hey..what are you a rapist or something Mr. mag?" I was really confused, thinking what kind of guys would say such a thing. Well i got my answer, as they weren't guys at all. they were 2 chics to my surprise. At first i wasn't sure, so I flashed my maglite at the nearest one. shes like "what are you doing...that stings stop that". I said i was just making sure they werent 2 big burly guys who were going to kick my face in. Well my doors are unlocked, so the one leaning in on my passenger window decided she was tired of standing, and just opened the door and got in. Im like "ok...are you guys, err chics on something".. then one of them blurts, "wow, ive never seen one of these cars keep up with my bros tundra like you did..." One of them finally asks "hey can you pop your hood for me", so we take a look and they start asking endless questions about "whats this? whats that?" and what have you.

In a nutshell, we part our ways, but not before i got their phone numbers .Turns out, they were both Yale Alumini who were on winter break. That would explain the Yale sticker on the back. Jeez, i was sooo scared then soo relieved. I really thought i was gonna eat some dirty that night lol.

If we have to explain it to you the phone numbers are wasted on you! College chicks are freaky, be sure to stretch, don't want to pull a muscle.

Good story....but on a side note....why did you take the car somewhere to have the brakes done? Its an easy job

Also, sorry to hear they were ugly.

the best excuse i can come up with is, I wouldn't know where to do it. I live in a gated community and theres no room to work on it.

I rolling brick roll goes to pass you, and you can't keep ahead of it with your small aerodynamic car? That's horrible man. The Tundra is not aerodynamic in any way, it's literally a rolling air dam. And your car probably weighs almost 1000Lbs less then the Tundra. That means that the V8 would have to have about 50~100 more HP then your car just to keep up. In summary, you obviously don't have enough HP/TQ. Stop wasting money on getting your simple brake job done, and buy a dam KA24T(T) .

Um... It sounds like your transmission is improperly geared for your engine's powerband. From a 7k RPM upshift, the RPMs should have dropped about 1500~2000 RPMs which would have kept you in the powerband, but that obviously wasn't the case. I think you should either get your transmission modified or get more HP from your engine.

About the girls. Dude, you totally screwed up . You should have given them a little bit of charm, and you probably could have had them both on their backs in the bed of the Tundra

He already has an SR so I don't think he needs the KA-T. As for the girlies....maybe he's not as desperate as some people to bag the nasty girls. Who knows.

You don't have to be desperate to have sex with two descent looking girls. You just have to have stamina

Always a way to work on your car whether it be at home, at a friends house, somewhere....we all know that. Guess he isn't a work on his own car kinda guy. But that's ok, people like that help me make money lol. Some people just aren't cut out to turn wrenches...they pay others to do it.

I used to pay for -everything- to be professionally done back when I made about six times what I do now. Now I post tech questions on NICO and flip through the FSM (it used to be a fancy paperweight). Amazing what I've learned.

I figured out how to change my own oil this winter. BOOYEAH!
