well my cars been craping out again. just fixed my exhaust manifld last week and now i need new transmission mounts and motor mounts. its gotten hard to steer and the car jerks everytime i switch gears. o well. so newayz i was driving around today and found a sweet looking 240sx for sale. it was perfect. 91 fastback with perfect white paint, 5 speed, no spoiler, cruise control, power windows and power doorlocks, sunroof. everything i wanted in a car was there. the price was 2500$ so i called to enquire about the car. it had a clean title but then te guy told me the car had 191000 miles on it and had the engine rebuilt at 130000 miles. my heart was broken. i seriously want that car but i dont want all the extra mileage since i have absolutely no money to fix any problems in the car after purchase. i told my mom and sice im gonna borrow money from her to buy it she also said no because of the mileage. my heart is set on that car. sumone with feedback please respond.

well i have thought about it a lot and the thing is i wont do an sr swap. i dont think ill do any swaps on this car just yet. i just want one for a daily driver right now. i live in cali and its gonna be a pain in the *** with the emmissions and smog test thing. id rather just work with the ka24de. i migh consider a swap once im more financially stable and get an s14 my project car with strawberry headlights or r33 headlights and supra taillights. but yea right now i just want a s13 fastback for a daily driver since my cars gonna commit suicide any day now.

by the way i already have a job at del taco. i get paid minimum wage and after taxes im not left with much. ive only been working for 2 weeks. my old boss gave me about 24 hours a week and i have a new boss this week who only gives me about 10 hours now which is about 60 dollars a week after taxes. wtf am i gonna be able to afford with that?

you could always just swap in another ka24de with less miles from a newer 240. It's cheap, and will pass emissions

sounds like you need to look around for another job...im workin part time at food lion, getting around 35 hours a week just workin night and weekends and next week im startin at Cintas(RUS) working full time, guarateed at least 40 hours a week working from 8 to 5 or 5:30 every Mon-Fri and i get paid every week there, so my working status is strait for the summer time, maybe i might be able to have my sr'ed 240 for the july 25th meet:D

hmm well im 16 and looking for a second job or a differnt job altogether but its hard. and well i was thinking about getting the car and swapping another ka24de but naw too much of a hassle just yet. id rather wait a month or two and keep looking. besides im not even sure if this car was an se model. it doesnt say on the back and the owner doesnt even know.

Tell me about job huntin...the economy is messe up...and for a 17 year old looking for his 1st job (myself) it's hard.. luckily my uncle is givin me an 89 240 coupe wit 194,00 miles (ouch) hopefully it will pass emissions because u must pass in Atlanta for a tag and thank goodness it's clean all around

yep looking for a job is a pain in the azz. i applied at about 60 places before i got a job. and well my job is about 3 miles away from my house. after i got this job ive been applyig at like 5 other places but the only other place that wanted to hire me was jack in the box monday thru friday frm 6 in the morning til noon. i turned the job down because i thought i would find a better place with better hours. i guess thats what i get for dreaming.

Find a better place with better hours? If you're really set on getting that S13, I'm sure theres no job you wouldn't do. Even if it's scooping elephant s*** at the local zoo. Depends on how bad you really want it. Also, as young as your are, you can't expect to get anywhere with your entry level experience. Borrow money from your family and friends. Work extra shifts at Del Taco or something. If you want it bad enough.. you can do it.

alrite so i guess i have to unload the whole story here. the general manager for the del taco im working at hired me. last week he go fired and he used to give me about 24 hours a week. the assistant director for all the deltacos in sacramento took over until he gets a new general manager to replace the old one. he cut back everyones hours. im serious. there are people who have been working there for 3 years who get paid only 7 dollars an hour while california minimum wage is 6.75 an hour. well newayz he cut back everyones hours and he cut mine down to 10 hours now which is why i worked two shifts on tuesday night and did graveyard and overtime to get double pay during overtime. and even that came in lucky because sumone called in sick and since we have only two people working graveyard and nobody wanted to work that night i volunteered and got it. im still looking for a second job. believe me its not easy. its summer break and all hgh school students and new graduates are also looking for jobs.

I truely truely need a job...for my car expenses and that whole crap load of SENIOR expenses... KILLA ur lucky u have one...in Atlanta teens, grads, and even eldery people are in search of employment...keep with it though and good luck or your car

hmm i looked in the sunday paper today. found 2 more 240sx. i called one up a 91 240 with 195000 miles for 2K. the guy said he sold it already and apologised for 2 minutes. then i called up the other one. i dont know whether or not i should get it. there are 3 things i dont like about the car. first of all the car is a 1990 and i want a 91-92 bcuz i think it looks better wihout the little grill part in front. second of all the car is an auto and i would prefer a stick since i am tired of driving boring old slow autos. third of all the car has the 140 hp single cam sohc and i would prfer the twincam dohc wih 155 horses. on the bright side the car is only 1900$ and has 114000 miles on it. im gonna call tomorrow and find out if its a fastback or coupe. if its a fastback ill be about 80% sure ill get it. if its a coupe then definately no.

get a job in contracting good money builds muscles for the ladies and if your dumb enough to put a nail or two through your hnd you get pay while you recover and go with another ka24de on your little budget go for he car if your swapin out engine get new one in manual. and do a 180sx conversion

yeah but still its a hassle getting a new transmission along with the new ka24de and then i do hate the pignosed look. and well since i wont have money for the new ka24de or the new stick transmission i would be oh so depressed driving auto again. its no fun im serious. i have an auto and its boring as hell. thats why idrive it like a stick. after i stop i bring it down to L and then shift it up to 2nd at 5000 rpms then 3rd after 4500 rpms. and then when i see a stopsign, yellow or red light etc i step on the brake and downshift to 2nd and then to L. and sumtimes when im really bored, i even use my left leg to step in the air and make it seem like im steping on a clutch.

with an engine rebuilt at 130,000 miles thats only 61,000 miles on the engine. My 90 hatch had 198,000, or was it 197,000, oh well it had a lot of miles on it and it was still really nice. I just wanted a coupe, and the engine needed to be built. so i figure the first car you metioned would be your best bet. IMO. dont get what you dont like. I personally dont mind either s13 front end but if you really hate the "pig nose" then i say buy the one you want.

i went tocheck out a 240sx yesterday. it was a 1990 for 1900$. i got the guy to lower the price to 1600$ and then i said i wouldnt buy it. the car was a 1990 fastback with everything i wanted and low miles except it was a stick and had the pignose. it was burgundy and had a lotta damage to the frontumper and both rear sides. the spoiler looked as if someone tried to rip it off. and so on. well ill just keep looking....
