I am sick of hondas with my front end!!!

I am rather pissed about retailers like importfan.com offering these "kits" to turn your goddamn honda into a 240. In my opinion, if you wanted a silvia, you should have bought one in the first place. I just got done emailing importfan because i noticed a discrepancy; they have all of the carbon fiber hoods you would ever wnant or need to turn a rusted out, 80s model civic into a rusted out, 80s model civic with my front end; however, they dont offer a hood for a 1997-1998 240sx. I cant believe that load of crap! In this months issue of Super Street I was delighted to see a 240 on page 188, that was, until i noticed the B series motor laying transversely in the engine bay. I wish I could be pissed at the honda owners, but anything that says "fits 93-97 civic" is going to be the first thing that they ask mommy and daddy for, thats just the reality of the demographic. so I firmly believe it is the retailers at fault for making this completely rediculous concept of a honda with a silvia front end, an unbelievably true reality.:bsflag

i saw a candy green SC400 with a 2JZGTE swap, 19" HRE's, and an S15 front end once... that thing was beautiful, quick too... and the thing that really surprised me was that he was nice enough to show it all to me AND say that he had deep respect for and wished he had an S15...

thats funny u all mention older guys and cars.. i went on a delivery to this guys house(im a daytime waiter and nighttime delivery guy for a chinese restraunt in corpus) anyways.. i went to his house and him and his buddy r working on a 200sx in the back of his house where his garage is at.. and damn he has a hella lot of tools.. loland he looks at my car and asks do u have s13 redtop in there? i was like what the fukk? lol and then he goes to tell me that his buddy has one in austin and was telling me in detail what it all had.. i mean this guy was typical white 54yr old man already retired.. for this older man to talk about what type of innercooler this s13 has or what kind of swaps and what all can be done to them... just goes to show u there r all types out therejoe

i dont doubt that some of the conversions may look clean or even decent, but is still about the principle of the thing. a ferrari is a fine car, but im not going to put a ferrari front end on my silvia. an s15 front end maybe, because its essentially the same car, and they have been doing it for years out of necessity in japan, but to swap brands is just rediculous. I guess the multi-colored euro headlights for hondas just werent enough.
