My question is, if I got 14,000 grand for selling my car, what would you do with the money considering you buy the 240 for 4 grand? I am thinking Silvia S14 conversion any comments?

If you're buying an s14 for $4,000 something is wrong.

And why would you convert it to an s14 silvia? They're pretty much the same car... besides the sr20.

I didn't say anything about buying an S14... I said I wanted to buy a 95-98 240sx and drop the Silvia engine in it...

okay well the 95-98 is a S-14(chasis number) the S-14 SR20DET would then convert you to a Silvia...with a few other little knick knacks.....if you do the work yourself say....your up to $8000 now.......$6000 to go.....front mount intercooler.....exhaust.....rims .........tires.....suspension....brakesyour spent.

good luck with your project

depends on rather or not it's a TT or not. If not you could get more out of the S14

Yea the car is Naturally Aspirated, not turbo. Stock has 222 hp, w/ the intake and exhaust, I'm pushing about 240 hp. The only problem is that I can spend several thousand dollars on my car and only be pushing about 300-350 hp. Not bad for a 240, but bad for a Z, considering if it was turbo, then that much money would be pushing about 450 hp. Plus the fact that it weigh 3400 lbs. Considering I could sell my Z and buy a 240sx and get twice the speed out of the 240(once againconsidering weight).Oh...and I did say 95-98 in my thread name...and it's a 94 300zx 2+2Here is some photos:http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/jem...iew=t

Believe me the expenses of the tt is way high, believe me I've considered this for the past year. To find a decent tt w/ low miles you have to pay about 15-16 grand, and even more to upgrade it....trust me on this, my Stillen Dual-tip stainless steel exhuast cost 1200 dollars, if you don't believe me check it out on Stillen.com. Why should I spend 15 grand on a car w/ only three hundred hp, when I can buy a car for 3 grand, dump a different motor in it and be faster for half the price? It takes alot of hp to make a 3400 lb car move fast....
