Peterbilt has released its new DAF based MX engine this year to meet 2010 emission laws and combat the fact that CAT has stopped producing engines for both medium and heavy duty class8 trucks, basically they didn't care to meet emission laws and rumor has it they are producing their own truck frame in the next few years. I had to watch a bunch of training vids, read a manual on how to use PACCARs new engine parts lookup software and top it all off, I had to take 10 different tests!!! I passed all the tests!!!!! I am now a certified PACCAR MX parts person, I also happen to be the first and only one from my dealership chain! Next task, taking the P1 Heavy Duty Truck ASE cert in November.

Im Cummins certified:) I can do warranty work on most medium and heavy duty engines. BTW, CAT had a great way of controlling nox(ACERT) but the government disproved because they didn't use the egr method.
