Just pulled the trigger on an '06 M45 loaded. I believe it has every option/package except premium (couldn't get sport and premium at same time if I remember correctly)

It has the aero kit/spoiler as well which is great.

It's black with the dark brown leather (my first preference was black interior, but this is growing on me quickly).

It has 12k miles (which is unheard of for that year) and I paid $24k at auction. I'll be picking it up this weekend and will post pics!

(I'll now have to change my handle, SilverCi was for an old BMW 328Ci I bought 9 years ago)

Will post pics soon! I'm sure I'll have 3 million questions too so bear with me!

Jim

You got a great deal, dog. How many accidents was the car in? Flood? Porno movie scene? j/k

Post some pics and start putting some miles on this virgin.

Also, you might want to consider doing some routine maintenance on fluids, since the car is over 3yrs old. Coolant, brake fluid, rear diff, transmission fluid (possibly), and oil/filter (obviously).

Hello,Welcome to NICO. That is becoming an average price for an M these days. The mileage however, is exemplary. The prices on the second gen M has plummeted. My first gen M is probably worth less than a new Hyundai Accent. Two years ago to the day, I paid 28.ML

I liked that one at first but wife didnt like the brown leather. Thats a great find with the mileage. We just got one last week with 26k on the clock for $25k from a dealer but doesnt have any options.

Thanks guys! Won't pick it up until next week.

You will only find a price like this at the big "exotic" auctions, or Manheim auctions. Only registered dealers can attend, but I have a buddy that acts as a car broker for only 1200 bucks. This was the first time buying a car like this, it won't be the last! Anyway, this guy does all the backround checking on the car, checks the paint for damage... etc.

These cars from from dealer leases mostly and have a detailed condition report so you know the deal. If you are ever in the market for a new car, go talk to your local used car dealers. Most of them will do something like this for 1 or 2k, becuase they are going there anyway so it's a relatively easy way for them to make cash too.

Anyway... can't wait to get it. Will post pics!

And will definitely do a full fluids service thanks!

For $1200? I would not call him a buddy... maybe a thief!

My friend who has a small dealership had offered to get me a car for $250 from an auction (Maneheim or ADESA).

Yes, I agree. $1200 sounds steep.I found 2 local Chicago area dealers and 1 in Washington DC (friend's brother) and they were between $500 - $750 for Manheim auctions. All cash deal, of course!

Congratulations + welcome! You purchased one fine automobile!!

Yea, maybe I was a bit liberal with my tag of "buddy" on this guy He's more of a friend of a friend. I put him thru the ringer though for this car (actually got the wife a QX56 as well) so I don't mind paying him, it's well worth it for all the money he saved me.

He is affiliated with a franchise dealership as well so I can get a better loan rate, he details the car prior to pick up and everything... so worth it to me. Even though a bit steep

I also had another guy that could have taken me for 500, but I didn't feel he gave me the service this guy did. He is literally called a "car broker". People buy and sell cars thru him every year and come out of pocket for little or no money. Since he finds great deals on cars, the next year he's able to sell them back for little or no loss, and get people in something new.

We'll see how it works. Might not ever leave my M from what everyone hear says!!!!! Can't wait to get it.
