I am trying to figure out where the jack points are for 2017 Rogue. I saw a drawing in the owner manual depicting the jack point, but I am still not sure because I can't find the matching area that looks exactly like what is shown on the drawing.

Can someone confirm is what I have identified is the correct jack point?
In the manual, what do the arrows mean?

Now, on to your problem. I don't own a 2nd gen Rogue, but it's pretty obvious to me where to place the jack. The artwork is rather crudely drawn, so it's not meant to be a literal example of what to look for. You should see a pair of indents in the areas noted by the arrows. The jack goes between those indents. The arrows mean "place jack here".

@Rogue One, thanks for image uploading sites. For Imgur, I wasn't able to upload images using Chrome. I had to use IE.

Here are my original two images:

OK. I found the indentation:

But how can a single sheet of metal support 4,000 lbs of body?

When I put a jack stand underneath that, wouldn't this single sheet of metal just fold or collapse? -- Since the manual says this is the jack point, I hope I am totally wrong about this.

Do I need to use this tool with a floor jack?:

That's why the "head" on the jack is built the way it is. The pinch welded sheet metal does not support the load, the frame and body supports the load and yes, I would use the above if you are going to use a floor jack and jack it at those original jack points so you don't crush it. Ask me, I know. I just changed a flat on interstate 40 outside of Memphis. It actually took longer (and a scraped knuckle) to get the jack out of the carrier than it did to change the tire.
