i just need to know if a z24 from a 2x4 will work in a z24 4x4? just change oil pan?

yep. don't see why it wouldn't same motor. The under bodies of the truck are different.

Hadn't even thought about it, but I'll have them side by side tomorrow and let you know. just pulled the motor out of an 85 2wd to drop in my 4wd.

thatd be great i think ive heard oil pan and oil pick up are different but should work

you will need to swap pans and oil pickup assembly, as both of the 4x4 ones are unique pieces and have to go together... ask me how I know, LOL! (or see my recent post here!)
