i am new to this and need some help..headlights

ok so heres the deal i have an 02 sentra se-r spec v and my head lights are very dull and i despertly need to clean them but i dont know how but i dont want to blow my lights because i need them till i purchase my hid kit so can some1 help me please and thank you .

Pop them out, remove the clear cover, brush it with some toothpaste or any other very mild abrasive (some automotive polishes work about the same). Try using the FSM (link in my signature) to show you how to get them out. It's pretty simple.

I don't know if I would go through the trouble of popping the headlight out just to clean it. Just tape it off. Auto part stores usually have kits specifically for this. The kit I had was three stage that removed the original clear coat with a chemical and about four different sand papers (800, 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit). Then you would brush on a self leveling clear urethane. It worked pretty good if you really took your time.

My advice was under the assumption that it's the interior of the lens that is foggy.
