My car was idling very badly and dying. A Nissan person suggested I spray some carb cleaner in my intake while the car was running to clean the sensors and this actually seems to have worked. I was desparate at the time but the car is idling normally now. I was ready to spend some big money on parts. If this is a bad thing to do the "big players" on this site can warn people I guess.

im sorry but this doesnt make much sense to me. But anyway its ok to spray carb cleaner in the manifold, thats always the first thing to try when a car is running funny. If that doesnt work you would want to check your maf. then your spark, then all the other sensors and the vaccum hoses. and lastly your fuel dillervery system. if the car JUST has a low idle problem is pretty easy to just turn it up. none of the parts cost that much, youll spend most of your money on labor if you choose not fix it yourself. hope this will you and fellow problem go ers

i had the same problem with my ka24de and i sprayed carb cleaner on the throttle body butterfly and that cleared it up instantly. i noticed that after a few months it came back though and i had to spray again and that has cleared it up for quite some time now, and it has yet to come back.

I fixed mine by slowly pouring Seafoam into the vacuum system, the brake booster line, I think. It is a trick I heard about on here somewhere.
