Spy photos, more information, SOMETHING!!!!!!!! I have specifically saved what I hope to be enough money to purchase one of these (hopefully) fine automobiles. Damn I hope it has at least 400 hp, and puts the land of the rising sun back on the map for high horsepower sports cars. I can imagine a sexier, more powerfull (more expensive) hopefully better in every way Z. Oh well I'm done ranting, I'll continue to salavate privately, and hope some new info comes out.

I think he is referring to the upcoming R35 that has been previewed. I haven't heard anything myself.

i think its pretty well agreed the new skyline will come to usa,it seems the main disagreement is whether as a Nissan or Infiniti and when.

Yea, I meant the R35. I know this is an abomination, but I hope it is sold as an infiniti. I would like some luxury to go with all that power. If the Z/G35 is an example, then I prefer the G35 for it's more luxurious appointments, the Z is a little spartan on the inside. I hope some more final info comes out in the not to distant future, so I know which dealer I need to put a deposit down with. I am lusting for the return of the big name Japaneese sports cars (supra/rx7/skyline)

DADGUMMMIT! BLAH!!!!!! Anyone who want's a "luxurious" sports car get a M3/M5. I want bare bones roll up windows light as humanly possible with insane power and a low low price tag, that's what it's all about IMO. After all, you can always add crap to your car, it's the taking it out that hurts the resale value. That and I'm young and I want to get one SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad, so cheaper is better, just check all the boxes for luxury options when you order yours from the factory. :)

I am right there with you bro. I just want something that I can kill myself quickly in. I dont need ONStar and DVD's for when I put the car into a light pole or something. I just want to die happy.

if im dropping 70k on a car i want to be confortable at tripleidigit speeds for hours ata a time ..

you have to remeber most people that buy cars like this in the US dont spend much time over the speedlimit or actualy useing the car for its abilitys (me included outside weekends) . and when you can afford something of this nature you ususly have a deicated hotrod laying around that stripped and ready to go fast on track days

gimme the new G35 over the Z , gimme a infiniti skyline over a nissan skyline , i want something that can be driven to work everyday , pick up a hot date (and her and be confortable in it) , and still be able to take my class at the solo events , that is my ideal car , that means power everything ,moonroof , lumbar support ,etc

and dont dog onstar , it should be sold as a saftey feature just because of one thing , when it detects a airbag deployment it will call the onstar center , they will contact you , if you dont repond it will send help to you coordinates based off of satalie GPS , nice thing to have when you are out doing latenight drifting in the middle of nowhere , or something liek that when passers by dont exist

I'm WAY outside the Infiniti loop, but is the new G35 the infiniti badged 350z? If that's the case, I hadn't heard. Anyway, I saw a sweeeeet G35t at the pump today, and it was not anything like a Z. I'm lazy and don't want to search so get your hand off the flame button.... but what does the "t" stand for... it's not a turbo car....(right)?

R means balls not fluff. You have a right to want both but Nissan does not have the right to desecrate the R to give it to you. The continent of Europe has you covered.:rant

First off, let's seperate some things. I DO NOT support the over use of electronics. I do however, expect fine appointments. Let's assume the new GTR sells for 50-60k. I don't care about overblown (take focus off driving) electronics, I do care about high quality interior components such as leather aluminum trim etc. I understand the spartan sports car appeal, it's just nice to feel like your money went into something besides the performance aspect of the vehicle. Just look at corvette, great car ****ty interior (supposedly fixed with c6)

I stand by my statement of "DADGUMMIT BLAH!!!!" If you've got the scratch to blow on a Skyline you can afford a used Maxima which has more luxury than anyone needs. The construction quality is not going to be lousy, we all know that, so don't worry. It should be a Nissan Skyline, you should be able to order factory luxury options(automatic transmission included, for all you lazy arses) but the entry price shouldn't be ridiculous it should be like the new Z which you can jack up with factory options but you get the frame and the engine for a decent price and can start tuning from there> If you're going to have a big fat sports car, you might as well have an automatic and have a luxury car. Lithe, nimble, ridiculous power all qualities a great sports car posseses, granted the Skyline isn't exactly light to begin with, but if you pork it up with crap like navigation systems, sunroofs, and other such crap you might as well save your money and buy an N/A 300ZX convertible with an automatic. Although this is kinda now off topic since clarification has been given, and yes, chincy plastic crap in the interior would piss me off, here's hoping we get carbon fiber instead:)

Well said. I understand the appeal, I have always loved the RX7 for that very reason. I very much hope Japan release another true sports car, like the rx. Light, extremly nimble (no traction control) puropse built. The skyline however, is not this vehicle. It has always been heavy on tech. I know you all remember tiff o needle(sp?) taking that thing totally sideways on the airstrip, and it somehow being able to correct its self (amazing stuff to watch) In closing, I hope for high quality interior trim, the same (or more) on board tech (skidpad measure/etc) and a whole lot of horsepower. If this electric assist turbo rumor is true, hopefully very little lag.
