Then, the 3yr/36k mile warranty is pointless if they changed the terms.casperfun wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 2:37 pmGo to another dealership. If it’s under warranty, they should be covering it. Some people with the first generation, they could of had their cvt transmission replaced 3-4 times. Yah, kinda sucks doing it over and over. Unless Nissan changed the terms, everything under warranty should be fixed.![]()
Yeah, I personally was surprised too when I was saying we will get a 2021. I actually put the 2021 Rogue on my list of vehicles to buy. But then reality hit after visiting said dealership where a salesperson basically s*** talked about the competition. For a base SV on the 2021, I'm actually shocked on the amount of features being offered that cannot be even found in an equivalent Rav4 and CRV (not even available on the CRV Touring). I am still giving some hope for Nissan on the new gen, hopefully they fix all the issues that I have noticed on the 2019 Rogue, then that would sway me to buy one again, but to seal the deal, the OTD price must be lower than our 2019 (paid $24,991 in cash). Right now, I am looking at CPO Lexus ES, Ford Edge, Honda CRV, etc., as my up-coming work vehicle, since our latest vehicle was the 2019 Rogue. The interior of the 2021 is more up-scale than the current gen, and flows way better. Heck, even the infotainment screen isn't 240p anymore and placed at a higher location (that doesn't make me bend my head down from the road to look at the screen, an issue I have with my 16 and 19), and the 360 camera is standard on the base SV. Granted, I have to get an SL to get the shelf system which I really like about the Rogue (sucks it ain't standard no more). I have to wait and see how many members here reports any issues and problems on the 2021s in the next few months. Is the 2021 Rogue worth MSRP or Sticker? Hell no, it's still worth below that, imo, like every other new Nissan product. We gotta see where my money goes this upcoming August (I will be graduating in end of July). I only have 1 great customer-dealership relationship for Nissan and that's in South Florida; every other Nissan dealership in my area is horrible (one price-gauged my father for a simple oil change and tire rotation).
and thats the thing about Nissan. When i shopped for my 2019 and compared the 3 same models (plus the CX-5)...Nissan won. Nissan had the lowest price for all the features, with the assumption that this was the year Nissan Quality would turn around. Since 2020 was a year with really really low number of miles (March to October = 1,000 miles total) i am really happy with the 2019. The only electronic gremlin is the FCW light, but no crazy unexpected braking.datechboss101 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 3:31 pmFor a base SV on the 2021, I'm actually shocked on the amount of features being offered that cannot be even found in an equivalent Rav4 and CRV (not even available on the CRV Touring). Welcome to Nico!!!achugh wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 4:41 pmThis is my first post and I am kind of split reading this post. I owned 2007 Nissan Murano (bought in 2006 Oct as soon as 2007 models came out). This Murano ran for 105K (almost) when my new teenage driver hit into a street lamp post and the insurance would not fix it and declared it a total loss because it is over 100K in miles and almost 15 years old. The cost of repairs does not justify the price of this old vehicle. I had no problems with my 2007 Murano SL whatsoever. I did maintain it well with all maintenance done by dealer for its life. NO CVT issues, no major issues. The only issue I faced was that the leather on the driver seat cracked and I could see that the leather was of low quality (compared to my 2000 Chrysler Concord LXi with 105K miles that I still own, its Italian leather is still in great shape and I took no special care for it. In fact Chrysler Concord stayed outside in all sorts of weather that my Murano did not have to bear because it stayed inside a garage).
Anyway because of the cost and Electronic Infortainment features I selected 2021 Rogue Platinum because I had good success with my 2007 Murano SL. What problems should I be researching before making my purchase? Also does anyone here knows what is the internet price of Security Plus Gold Preferred Extended Warranty with $0 deductible on a new 2021 Rogue Platinum? Lastly, what is the consensus or the market rate of 2021 Rogue Platinum FWD with standard solid color like Metallic Silver?
Yeah I I forgot to mention I also had a 2009 Nissan Maxima that I had bought used and it ran to like 125k miles before I sold it and I didn’t have any problems with it at all. So I’m guessing it’s a hit or miss? Or maybe they use different transmissions in different nissans ? I have no clueachugh wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 4:41 pmThis is my first post and I am kind of split reading this post. I owned 2007 Nissan Murano (bought in 2006 Oct as soon as 2007 models came out). Can't we just dump this thread into my notorious thread that made me famous here?PalmerWMD wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 6:40 pmWelcome to Nico!!!achugh wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 4:41 pmThis is my first post and I am kind of split reading this post. Also this post probably deserves its own seperate thread here in the Rogue forum.![]()
I had a 16 with 109k miles. The GPS is still not resolved in the 3rd gens as far that is documented here. CVT trans did get worse in the 2019 MY. Just Nissan in general overall during Carlos Ghozn era dropped in quality control and reliability.Rogue2015NYC wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 4:09 pmI have a 2015 Rogue AWD and I am not planning to get any Nissan after this car. Here is a list of issues I have encountered and I only have 37k miles on it:
1. A year after I got the car the whole head unit rebooted and had a "System Status : Update Failed!" message when I was driving down to Florida using the GPS.
2. The directional arrow on the GPS pointed downward instead of upward almost as if the map had inverted from top to bottom numerous times. Told dealer about that and they said it was
normal.
3. Lane departure warning and cameras stopped working a few times.
4. Stopped getting text messages on Nissan Connect
5. CVT transmission is sloppy
6. Security Light is coming on every other day
7. Noticed a lot of plastic molded pieces falling off the car.
8. Cant drive the car in reverse more than 10 miles an hour. ( If anyone else has this issue let me know or if it is just a limitation)
9. Nissan One to One Rewards are a joke. Tried to use at dealer and they said FU.
10. The service department experience as a whole was horrible. Didnt have much of a choice the nearest one was in Crooklyn so I avoided that one.
