Oh shiznit, I didn't know you were doing that, I've looked at Baltimore PD and have seriously considered them but was told that they aren't hiring right now. I think they have an accelerated process for out of state applicants and the fact that you don't have to live in Baltimore is just the cherry on top. The only thing is they actually pay less than Philly does but the average cost of living down there is the same or higher than it is in Philly. I've also seriously considered Maryland State Police, and at this point am considering any department outside of Philly. I had to decline last time thanks to an open case in TN that will now go away even though it's like 10 years old and over a $25 bounced check to Walmart when I was in the Army. Hopefully this next time at court next month will take care of it.Xdisaster240sX wrote:Im going to the Baltimore county PD. It really is a long process. Ive taking both tests and Im still waiting. Its sucks.
That's not bad idea right there.Dire91 wrote:Try to pick up small jobs for neighbors and such around your town. Good way to make some quick cash, that's all the advice I got.
Best of luck. The MSP is a great department, if you manage to make it through their academy. I suggest you check out the Officer.com forums if you haven't already. Lots of good info. Eventually when I'm done with college, I will apply to a Police department here in Maryland too. What other departments have you looked into?Xdisaster240sX wrote:I have a appointment for the state police on april 20 something.
6-8 months is kind of normal for most big departments. For some, it even takes longer. Hang in there.Chaotic_Warlord wrote: I have the PPD written test next month, but the whole process takes like 6-8 months, this effing blows. /RANT
Craigslist usually has something.. along those lines. Yardwork, etc. ^Dire91 wrote:Try to pick up small jobs for neighbors and such around your town. Good way to make some quick cash, that's all the advice I got.
Well crap! That sucks bad. Many many years ago, I was a few months in arrears in child support. My tax refund was automatically garnished and went to paying back my arrears. Its not necessarily a bad thing. Sucks if you were counting on it but it should cut down on how much you owe her for back support.Chaotic_Warlord wrote:So, stupid me posted how much my tax refund was on facebook thinking that I had the privacy settings set to friends only, fail on my part. Just got a message from baby's mama gloating about the fact that she was getting all of my refund. needless to say I'm so angry right now that I could probably literally spit bullets. So not only is she taking my full $2600 tax refund but also gets like 50% of my unemployment checks.
Oh and apparently her and the guy she's married to now have been together for almost 10 years, the kid is only 9.
She's been taking my tax returns for 6 years so I'm used to not having it. Do I need to have it more than her right now? Most definitely Her bragging about it and gloating about it in my face is childish and uncalled for. It's the last straw, I've dealt with her attitude and arrogance for years and just swallowed my pride to keep the peace. But with this latest item she's sent me into DEFCON 5 and I will gladly put myself inches from being a homeless bum to prove that this isn't my kid and shove it all back down here throat and sue her, her husband, the family court and division of child support for everything I've paid thus far and for a bagillion dollars for pain and suffering all these years, defacement of character, and whatever else i can get them for.bobotech wrote:Well crap!
