So just as the title reads, i'm freakin' awesome. Basically the story is that I got an NRG strut bar for the G but Ronnie couldn't get it to fit. The bolt was about a 1/4 of an inch off and just wasn't fitting. So he called the company and basically their reply was to send pics to verify the issue. So some time passed (about a week or so) before Ronnie had a chance to work on the cars again. So on Monday he was installing his new Injens and i decided to put on the strut bar "that didn't fit" to take the necessary pics. Well it turns out that somehow it magically worked for me! Now sure it was a little bit of a tight fit, but hey i got it!

Here's what it looks like: And me proudly showing off my accomplishment!

Sounds like the first time he had tightened one side before setting the other. It happens...

I'm just ya cuz it's fun.

I remember a time when I barely knew anybody here on NICO, back when I poked around the Max/I30 forums.

It's kind of nice knowing a little insider info.

I'mma need your wiring for the track soon, I just read some time slips and I'm seeing my car stock run high mid-high 14s. Only downside is buying that stupid helmet!

Hey I also bought this strut bar.

I also couldn't get it to fit! I installed it but it was too high for the hood to close. I also had to flex the bar in order to get the bolt to fit.

Do you know what you did wrong the first time so I can try and correct it!?

Well the hood wouldn't close on the first try either but we moved the bolts all the way down to the lowest possible position. The hood closed but i guess when i open it again i'll see if it rubs.

You know i noticed more of a difference on Ronnie's car when he put his on. On mine there was an improvement but not as great as Ronnie's. And the cost....i'm trying to recall but am not sure. Ronnie actually got it for me so i'll hafta ask him and he can give you some info.

Ouch! I can't say "it's not worth the money" because I'd be lying, but I might have to try this on my own. 5 notes is a lot for me to dish out right now and not have a car to drive too.

Post a how-to if there isn't one. Then I can give you a custom title to go with your roll as Laurens "worse half"

You two making the long trip down to Atlanta next weekend?

For the Injens? biggest PIA ever, like 2hrs+ to install em. I can do the pics for the strut bar though. Won't be heading to ATL, Carlisle is better, and closer!
