Ok, so i recently took over an RB20 project and took the wiring harness, upper and lower, and entirely went over them and repaired numerous melted/damaged wires in the harness and even replaced some that were missing. Its all perfect the way the FSM specifies but i cant ****in figure out where the wires go to this last plug.

To elaborate if the drawing isnt simple enough, there is this plug that goes directly into ( See picture below )

Btw, the black wire with red stripe looks like it has been repaired because just before it goes into the connector its blue. Also the fat white wire that goes to that relay has a circuit checker or something that goes off to the side and ground, but i didnt add it in because i forgot about it. This is the last damn connector and this car will run!!!

Thanks for any correct information, i hope carl chimes in!

That is the connector that supplies power to the coils. The blue wire in your diagram gets grounded. (IMO if you can ground it directly to the battery, otherwise a good chassis ground).

The wire with the 2.2k resistor I forget what that one is off the top of my head. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Hell yeah man. Thanks ill get that blue wire extended and grounded. As soon as you figure out what the other one goes to me, i'd greatly appreciate if you'd let me know.

i think the end of that black and yellow frayed wire is not connected to anything and is for diagnostics to easily check continuity between your coil pack harness and the cyl 1 output of the PTU. check the FSM and you'll see it. it provides a "T" off from the coil pack harness that is easily accesible without removing the ornament cover on top of the coils. its also used as the oem hookup for setting timing using a timing gun if i remmeber right. leave it as is and cover it up with some electrical tape.

white is ign, the other one is ground

I figured it was. Thanks man, i looked at the service manual once again, and i can see how that makes sense, its just the fact that the wiring diagram sucks d!ck compared to the Toyota Electrical wiring diagrams that im used to.

I appreciate your help guys, now i can get this car on the road and tune it!
