Alright, so there is a '92 240 for sale locally here, female driven, for sale for 1k.

The good:Frame is straightno rustbody is "okay" not perfectthe interior is in somewhat decent shapeit is low mileage for a '92 no sunroof

The bad:Automatic <- this one is keyhail damage but not too badcracked dash

The thing is, in my area, stock 240's are rare. However, I have been wanting a 5 speed. 5 speeds around here I have seen go for like 2 grand, and I really dont want to spend that much right now.

So here is my dilemma. Do I go with the 1k automatic in pretty decent shape, or wait for the 5 speed? (I have been waiting over a year to find one in good shape and all) Thank you, feel free to make fun of me for being an indecisive n00b

out of curiosity, what parts would be needed to complete a 5 speed swap if I later got a full SR20 swap? I know it comes with the transmission and stuff, but I also know it would not come with the pedal assembly and stuff. And since I am not extremely good with cars yet, I do not know. My brother and neighbor will be helping me with all I do to the car. (Sorry for not searching, I promise to next time)

Thanks everybody.

it sounds beat-up, but it is for ONLY for $1k, if you're planning to do an SR later then it's fine go for it as long as it drives good 'till your swap. all you need is a pedal, clutch master (get new), slave (new too), the line and few bolts and brackets here and there, the Junk yard will be your best friend. It's not big deal, but I've done it a dozen times, a great learning experience!

I added pictures so people can see it better, I forgot to mention the driver side mirror is gone but I can get one of those for like 10 dollars so it doesnt bother me.

Awesome, yeah unfortunately we have been having a lot of strong storms lately around here, my car also got pelted with some hail that left sizable dents, Florida sucks sometimes.

Thanks for your opinions though, I think I am going to call the lady up again and go get it.

well this was supposed to be my belated graduation present from my folks, but my dad would rather me not have a second car. So here is the number of the owner of the car.
