I ....am a failure.....

It was opening day at the drag strip on saturday so me and all my buddies went up to watch everyone run. One thing led to another and I decided to run my car for the first time at the strip. My car is decently modified, ive beaten a few wrx's from a roll... anyway I was way too nervous (wanted a good run realllllly bad) and I gave it way too much off the line and spun through half of the strip. My time was a poopy 15.8 reaction time was like a 1.6. I felt like the biggest douche ever and feel like I let my car down a bit.... but the way I see it there'll be plenty more trips to the strip and it's just more experience I suppose................:rolleyes

you only did 1 run man? you gotta do more than that in a day to get better!!

it's alright, you'll get the hang of it man hahaha dont worry about letting anything down or whatever... It's the blending of man + machine, you have to tame the beast! You cant expect to do that on your first try!

Ha thanks man, I only had time for one run before it started raining. That very same night I ordered a pair of 245/45/17 toyo proxes for the next time I head out to the strip. Another thing to facor in is that I havent really built my car for optimum traction (drifting). It didnt help that the z28 next to me had an 10.8 second run either... that thing was a beast; it was idling next to me and just shaking my s13 haha
