so i have a ****ty passanger door and i got a new one. the newone is manual and has tinted glass and i wanna put the power switch and normal glass on the new shell. i got most of it dissasembled and un wired but now im sorta blank

all bolts and screws get removed.

the trim unsnaps

i just did this it was simple even though it took 3 hours

Haha.

First off, get 2 people at least. I remember when I had to completely take out the auto door to replace the motor assembly. Keep in mind this was about 2 years ago.

Anyway, I believe there are approx 2/3 bolts on top & 2/3 bolts on bottom holding the glass in. You have to reallly look in there.

Get the glass out first, then the rest will come out pretty easy.

Easiest way to see how it all works is to remove all the crap from your good door so you can see how the motor moves the glass up & down and what positions you need to get to.

You will have to use all those crazy holes in the door to get to the bolts & such.

Sorry I wasn't much help, but it's "not that hard." Took me & my uncle about 1 hour or so. It's really just a few bolts .

right under the 'ledge' of teh window, there are 2 stoppers that prevent the glass from coming out , lower the glass and take them out

then take out the 4 bolts that hold teh glass on the brackets (2 on each side)

now you can just slide the glass out the top (and put it somewhere soft and flat.... having to get new glass sucks)

next theres just 4 nuts holding in the regulator (the whole automatic assembly, its 1 unit... the only thing to disassemble on it is the motor comes off) just remove those nuts, unplug the harness and pop it back, it will slide out the top

really, if the whole process takes more than 1/2 hour stop, get a drink, and come back to it

when reassembling, look at the bottom holes where the regulator bolts in, they are slotted so you can make adjustments...

after you get the glass back on, and the stoppers on, close teh door and roll it up.... make sure it has a good seal ...

next open the door, see if its up all teh way.... if not, roll up then close doorsee if it closes, and has a good seal (not my s13, but another car i had i didnt do all of this, and ended up having to take the door apart again to make it fit correctly
