Car : i-35 W/SPORT PACKAGE 2003

Basically looking for looks and improved performance mainly freeway driving / no racing or insane driving.

Ive been trying to find a site forI-35 but I guess this car is not very popular.tried to do research on tires and wheel combinations

Tiretrack is a great price.

Here is my dilemma /// we got the sport package this give us Vehicle dynamic control / we also have traction control on this car.

I want to get 18's but Im afraid that the 18' wheels will throw off the computers that sense VDC and traction control. Does anyone know out there if this is the case or will the computers adjust for the larger wheels? This is a front wheel car V6 3.5 same engine for the maxima and I think altima as well..

I also have the sport tuned suspension/ basically stiffer shocks

Thanks for the time

as long as the O.D. remians withing + or - 3% or so you wotn affect the VDC or speedo, abs, etc. ALso, search around we discussed the load index issue a while back on upgrading wheels and tires on a vehicle.-chet

dude OD=overall diameter, I dont know what you think it means.

if you have 225-50-17 on the car now, you can run a 225-45-18 and it'll be just about perfect.-chet

225-45-18 should be nearly the same OD and keep loading similar, not sure about 215-45, that would be too short(I am assuming your car has 225-50-17 on there now, like maximas do).

I would check into the bridgestone s-03's. call up grant, they run about 200 a peice in that size.

if you want to get away cheap:http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...1=yes

check those out, not great overall, but they're cheaper than anything else in that size.-chet

my bad right 225/45/18 those would be the correct one.

Do you guys have credit plans? ALso when I order wheels and tires do they come balance or is that something that I need to take to a garge?

Hi,Grant here. That 225/45-18 keeps you right on the money for the O.D. When you order the tires and wheels at the same time they come mounted and balanced at no extra charge. They come ready to bolt on the car. Most folks do it at home in the garage. We don't offer credit plans but you can use any major credit card or Western Union Quick Collect. If you do order from Tire Rack, be sure to use the link of the forum or contact us directly at 1-877-522-8473 ext# 313. That way the forum gets credit for the refrence. That helps support our forum here:pface

Great thanks. As soon as I decide I'll give you guys a call. My main concern is that the 18's wont throw off my traction and VDC controls on the car
