I-30t engine stumbles/surges at idle when cold in gear.

We have a I-30t (2000 with 127,000 km) that shudders and surges at idle when in drive and cold. We recently had the MAF? relaced when we had problems with pinging and throttle sensitivity, the pinging and touchy throttle are fixed but this shudder is still there. (intermittant and mostly when engine cold at idle and in gear) Dealership seems unable to have it happen when they have it but it does happen! This is very annoying and hard to describe, they seem to only be interested if a check engine light is on (which it isn't)What can I do or have them check?

How does your transmission fluid level look? Just wondering if it may be torque converter related since you said it occurs in drive.

Do you have any DTC's? You can take your car to autozone and they'll scan for free.
