I am thinking about buying a I-30, 2001. The dealer has replaced the right control arm and has refused to replace the left.

1-Do they have be done together

2-When I hit speeds around 65-75 I get a shaking of the steering wheel. My mechanics cannot issolate it, could it be the control arms?

Any ideas or solutions please help.Thank you, Jann

It could be a number of things...

Most likely the alignment is off. The cause of that alignment being off could be a bad control arm, bad tie-rods, sway bar end links, or just needing to be adjusted back to straight again.

My general rule of thumb... If a dealership isn't willing to make the necessary repairs to fix the car and make it solid and road worthy.. walk away from it.

I've learned that lesson the hard way in my life.
