First, I thought I was joining an intelligent group of enthusiast. Second, I am in college and get the HOPE scholarship (Georgia only). Third, obviously you are a dumb douche bag because if the GOBMENT sees this post and tracks you down they could stop your payments. They can stop your payments because any type of financial aid is to be used for SCHOOL RELATED EXPENSES ONLY!! I work full-time night shift to put myself through school and also take 18 semester hours every semester; somehow maintaining a 3.98 GPA. The ONLY assistance I can get is the Georgia HOPE scholarship which only pays a portion of the expenses. Almost $1900 still has to come out of pocket! So “douche bag” enjoy your goodies and I hope the GOBMENT finds your sorry *ss and takes it all back because as stated before that is property of the TAX PAYERS! Peace! I hope there are smarter people on here!

i didnt read the details real closely but i thought i read that the op paid the amount needed for school out of pocket and then received his financial aid money afterwords. if this is the case, you have no reason to be pissed

wow is this really making people mad? why because you pay taxes? cause B!tch01 has to pay for shcool?

paying taxes is the law. you NEED to pay taxes, it doesnt matter where it goes. Thats not for you to decide who gets the money and what happens with it.

and i sense some jealousy, i would honestly do the same thing if i had financial aid and didnt need the money for school. stop b*tchin and be happy the kid got to do something with his car.

I could use that excuse too. I work and pay taxes just like everyone else, ergo I paid for my toys... not you

Correct. I have been paying for school out of pocket for the last year with no help from anyone, and just now started to receive financial aid.

If I took out loans, which I haven't, I wouldn't spend it fixing up a 20 year old car.

They are "PELL" Grants not pel. Pell is supposed to be NEED based. If you can waste that kind of money on your car obviously your not that needy! Why don't you find someone at your college who literally "NEEDS" the money and help them out?

I found as a general rule that a lot of people are only happy if they think everyone else is as broke and miserable as they are.

To the OP:+1 for paying for school yourself and then getting some reimbursement from the government. +2 for finding a way to finance your hobbies. Its the little things that make life so much fun.

That looks very nice.

I personally don't find that height to be something i could rest easy at, to many dead animals and random rocks and stuff in my area and people do NOT know how to slow down behind you when you need to take a bump slow. And my daily is 6 inches off the ground that is legal for my area.

But it looks amazing! so all in all would you say that the Powered By Max are a great brand? would you recommend them?

Again looks nice bro!

If you recieve pell for school, that means that you and your family should be to broke to pay for school w/o it. If he can pay for it out of pocket then he shouldn't have pell. He IS ripping someone off. He is ripping off you and me and everyone else that pays that tax money. Think about it. If government hadn't taken that money out of your check and given it out like that; what could you have done with it? My husband and I payed in over 15k last year and still had to pay more when tax season rolled around.

this is Litterally the only thread you've posted in since you joined the site. so he used financial aid money to fund his hobby. he also payed for his school with HIS OWN MONEY. and then the government decided to GIVE him money for school anyway. boo f_ckln hoo. The government didnt take it all out of YOUR tax money anyway. they pulled it out of EVERYBODY's tax money. if you really want to feel like you matter here, im guessing you contributed about %.00000000025 of 1 penny to his finalcial aid. congradulations. if you want to be mad at anybody, write a letter to congress and ***** to them about "giving out YOUR taxmoney" to someone who doesnt need it. he didnt scam you, me, or anyone else for that matter. hes just the beneficiary of a flawed system. so STFU or GTFO

how about we just enjoy this thread for what its about. OP's car

so you should be pissed at the government, they're the ones that accepted him for the pell grant. are you really blaming him for being eligible for a grant?

heck all you guys who are talking about getting 2grand and getting help and so on for school should be kissing the gov.s arse for helping you to attend a university! now while yeah thats cool he did something nice to his car, but lol if you thought someone wouldnt be all "wtf?" in response to this.grants are for those in the poverty bracket and those who make a small amount of $ but whos monthly expenses eat it all up (kids, food, basic bills)to actually have a shot at getting some higher education and hieghten thier status in america if thier willing to work hard for it. im 26 years old now and i work pretty hard everyday. i have an assoc. degree and i paid every penny out of pocket on my own, im about 4 classes shy of another degree and i havent been able to afford to get back, i now qualify for aid but i havent been able to get back to school though im trying hard to get my crap together and make it back. people like me who have been a "have not" pretty much thier whole life take things like this seriously. and i think everyone else should also. those of you who are getting help and making it work, its a great thing, dont take advantage of it. and those of you who are acting like d!ck cause this guy is flaunting that he used school money that he probbaly doesnt need on his car, dont blame him, blame teh gov. for giving it to him, if you got money you could spend and didnt need...just like anyone youd use it on somthing fun.i hope i dont get set aflame for my oppinion lol

Powered By Max are great products!!! awesome customer service too. I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase and recommend them to everyone. My opinion is a little biased though. As I have nothing really to compare them to except my old rsr/agx combo.

Dear B!itch01,

It's called Florida Prepaid and savings, but I'm tired of explaining myself to you so do yourself a favor and get off your soapbox, please. Thank you.

Affordable was the only good thing about them. dampening on the agx's was too soft on the low settings and had way too much rebound on the high settings. The Rsr springs had a decent spring rate for daily driving but I simply wanted more out of that combo. Not to mention, the agx's blew out in the front after 6 months.

See i was first planning on going with SPL but then out of no where i started seeing everyone getting these Powered By Max and hearing a lot about them. Even one of the guys at the garage i went to had a control arm or something by them and it looked BEAUTIFUL like it was crafted by an angel lol. The welds looked good and everything and i asked what Coils he was going with and he said the same people who made his control arms, Powered By Max. Would anyone happen to know how long they have been in business?

Wow thats crazy... i guess it is better to get coils because im hearing alot of bad things about the spring/strut combo, but it must be annoying avoiding every pot hole on the road

ok ill add my .02

to OP car looks sick, and honestly good for you that you rewarded yourself we all deserve it now and again

to the dumb **** that joined simply to whine about this, financial aid is a joke, you never get exactly what you need, since schools are rediculous and raise prices so much

you live in freakin Georgia, how much can ur state schools be? the NE prices are 5 times as much as the southern schools (believe me i looked and have friends down south)

i have a single family income so i get aid.... i still have money to spend on my car since i live at home.... but i work my a** off for what i have... usually 50-60 hours in the summer and no less than 35 durning semesters and i balence school just fine obviously you dont need aid that badly or you would get it unless your grades are horrible

mind you i still have to pay almost 3 grand a semester outta pocket and i dont get any help with that

third, if he paid up front and this is your refund its like it went to school first from your pocket then you got refunded.....

4th^^^ to above poster dont hate on spring struts till you look at koni's

sure your not dumped but RSRs on real struts are a great setup; streetible and stiff enough for grip without loosing your fillings
