sorry if this is the wrong forum, thought this was the most relevant.

Been using my hydraulic pump jack and one day it doesn't pump anymore. the part that raises the car only goes up maybe an inch when pumping the handle all the way. next day it doesn't even move anymore. What can this be? air bubbles? broken seal? who the hell fixes pump jacks? thanks for any info.

Is it a bottle jack? I screwed one of those up the other day...I think I need to find whatever kind of fluid goes in it (hydraulic fluid?) and fill it back up. I tried taking the screw out and pushing down on the jack to "bleed" it...all it did was shoot me in the eye.

its one of those regular floor jacks that almost all used tire shops use to jack up your car.

the pump seal at the bottom of the handle is blown out you can get a reseal kit at any tool store like harbor freight[if you have those out there] it is probably leaking fluid there too.
