Gee, I thought with this I'd get some decent responses from people who've done it (and their reasons for doing it... or not), not hear from a whole bunch of ***holes who just like to argue! Honestly, if ghostriding was "GAY", then why is it popular in Japan (the land where D1 and drifting are said to have originated?!) among other things? BTW, seeing how this post is going nowhere, anyone know how to delete a post?
Oh, before I forget, kudos to the guy that mentioned that the car tends to run away (mine did just that, but was still controllable).

P.S. "Hyphy" (pronounced "High-Fee") and "Ghostriding" is the same damn thing! Just ask Keek the Sneek!
I love how he says " their reasons for doing it... or not" and when we say" We don't cause it's a gay trend for ppl who can't think." It's not an acceptable reason. I love how it's "cool" when people think like you but because we have an opposing viewpoint we're "a whole bunch of ***holes who just like to argue". Of course thank you TMS for debunking another ricer myth. Like how many time have you heard "The cops in Japan won't chase you after x mph." or "The let you street drift in Japan, just watch initial d!"?

To the OP,

:rotflmao

Sincerely,
Original Wheelman

P.S. GO F*** yourself.

hey hey be nice to the OP. he's simply a misguided individual who's not experienced shifting his own gears and think automatic transmission are the only thing out there. so such a mentality leads to trends like "ghost-riding". hopefully he sticks around long enough to learn that stupid ghrey trends are just that.

The they won't chase you thing is mostly BS, but back in the day they would come out at pretty much the same time every night, we would all scramble, they wouldn't chase us, we'd come back 45 minutes later. This would happen usually twice. They seem to have lost their sense of humor over the years and are starting to get serious. I've seen some wicked chases over the years. One, the JP was yelling at a kid in a 180 over the cop car speakers as they came ripping around a corner. I couldn't catch what he was saying but i hope it was smack.
You can't get away chump!
Is that a non-turbo, because it's slow as hel!

I will try the cars but if the shirobi target you, you are screwed. i only know one guy to escape them. he was on a GSXR750, could ride his a** off and ran several blocks between traffic in the oncoming lane.

Wrong forum. Try Honda-Tech. Or... aw, hell, I won't go there. ;)

It's not. Who told you it was "popular in Japan"? MTV?

SO, you're saying you failed to control your vehicle by not being in a position to brake or steer? That's flat-out stupid. What kind of weakdick excuse are you gonna use when your car runs over something (or someone)?
charsiukitty wrote:P.S. "Hyphy" (pronounced "High-Fee") and "Ghostriding" is the same damn thing! Just ask Keek the Sneek!
FAIL. It's NOT the same. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hyphy

You just got educated by a 40-year old White guy. :) Even *I* knew the two terms were NOT synonymous. You should probably get with the times...

I don't know WTF "Keek the Sneek" is, but I'm guessing it's some uneducated, closeted queer who wears his pants around his knees and waves his arms a lot. He's probably not your best source of information. :)

Ahahahahahahahahahaha! Hyphy movement. I ghosted back when it was coming into style in the bay. You Hawaiians are about 4-5 years late.

Get stupid = hyphy = ghostriding = side shows = failure

Well.. letting your car move while you walk beside it... that's stupid...

I had to do something like that today... where you push the car until you get enough momentum... then you hop in and get in gear and pop the clutch... but that's called clutch starting... it's the only option to get your car running when it won't turn.

Hey Michael! Can I pick your brain for some info and possibly ask you to send me a part? I want some JDM rain guards for my car. Wondering how much it would be for you to buy the part used or not and send it to me? Mazda of Toronto wants ~$140 :eek

You said "Mazda" anything less than an RX7 will induce vicious ridicule.

Scary burn.

People got to watch what they post. :couch

Actually I see no reference to the posts belonging to Greg in the NICO TOS.
How do I edit or delete a post?
Unless you are a board administrator or moderator, you can only edit or delete your own posts. You can edit a post by clicking the edit button for the relevant post, sometimes for only a limited time after the post was made. If someone has already replied to the post, you will find a small piece of text output below the post when you return to the topic which lists the number of times you edited it along with the date and time. This will only appear if someone has made a reply; it will not appear if a moderator or administrator edited the post, though they may leave a note as to why they’ve edited the post at their own discretion. Please note that normal users cannot delete a post once someone has replied.

I am not a man of law but this sounds like Greg does kind of sort of in a way own the posts:

So I will shut up now.

Certainly staged, but I found it amusing that they picked their black friend to "steal" the car. Stereotyping ftw!
