Here is some tips for those that want to upgrade to LED for exterior lights on your Y34 M45. I found a working solution to the hyper-flashing, but it requires replacing the factory flasher module with two EP34 LED flasher modules. These LED modules are available at most autopart stores, if not, any 12V LED flasher that has 3 prongs for(+) battery, (-) ground, and (L) load will work. There are some that have a pot to adjust the flash rate that you can buy online, if you so desire. The factory module controls both turn signal and hazard flashing for the front/rear. You will need one flasher for the turn signals and another for the hazards (actually, one for each side). I suggest cutting the wires and using crimp connectors,so you have the option of putting back in the original module later.
There is one down side: you lose the flashing of the parking lights when arming/locking and disarming/unlocking the car. It wasn't that big of a deal for me, since the horn does the same thing, so I didn't pursue finding a solution. Don't bother with load resistors, they don't work. You can find 1157 and 7440 LED bulbs most autoparts stores. I bought all my LED bulbs from superbrightled.com, as I liked the look of their switchback 1157 bulbs.
Those electrical savvy should be able to figure out how by looking at the turn/hazard lights diagram in the FSM. If you need more details, let me know. It's been a year since I put them in, so may need to take my dash apart again.
Hope this helps
