Went once in 2009 not much interest in it. Not really into "scene" stuff.

I already hate having to drive to Fairfax or Baltimore as it is now for work.

What exactly is "scene" stuff anyway?

A couple guys from work went up there to run a booth for the weekend, I didn't get to go this time around though.

Ah well, a quiet weekend will be nice for a change.

Car shows, hard parking, drifting, etc. They have a couple actual race sessions (ie: non-hpde/drifting) during Hyperfest but nobody I do data-logging/analysis for is attending, too much of a cluster-f*** of a weekend and then having to deal with the scene-kids is too much. It's the one weekend a year I'd avoid Summit like the plague.

Couple years back, when I went to NICOfest, I didn't even look at any of the car show stuff. I sat at the track, helped work the course, did some runs and helped out people with their driving. Like I said, scene-stuff isn't really my thing.

I'm amused Jim's making it sound like he worked the entire time he was at Carlisle, given how many times I timed him running his car on that course that weekend. j/k, big guy. But I'm sure he'd much rather drive Summit Main himself than watch someone else having fun doing it.

Hyperfest is cool. And it's been drawing some big crowds. I'm looking forward to seeing your pics. As info, Vaughn Gitten Jr drifted with us at Carlisle a couple years ago. He's got some serious skills.

Yeah, I was there that year, ol the only time I ever went.

So I gather that the rest of Carlisle was the "scene" stuff you were talking about, right? Okay. Some stuff was cool, others no so much. At least it was enough weirdness to keep a random drunk like me entertained.

Its a maybe for me. I'm back in town, but I have to finish my car. I like car meets and shows but it really depends on how much social energy I have that day. I love a good caravan though.

Shift works if they are all in a row, ctrl works if you want to select each individually while holding it the whole time.

Many upload websites disable this feature, though.
