Unless you've done work to fix the problem - stop cranking it. A hydrolocked engine that hasn't been properly drained/rebuilt isn't going to fix itself over night. If anything - you're just reducing the chances that it isn't damaged.mindpenn wrote:I will post another video tomorrow, the motor is sounding different. Nope not to worry... just add the bypass. They work!VersaMG08 wrote:Wow, didn't know the CAI caused the damage to the engine from water. Maybe it's a good thing not to get one.
That's a good idea, are they universal for AEM CAI? Where can you get them? The question I have is, what is the correct size for the Versa AEM CAI? Here is a link with the diffrerent sizes. http://www.racinglab.com/aem-bypass-valve.htmlsteed77 wrote:

That's expensive, at least you now know to get that CAI bypass. Let us know what the size is. I plan to get the AEM one.mindpenn wrote:I got the car back, total cost for repairs $985

After driving a Dodge Caliber for almost two weeks it feels good to drive the Versa.
No more puddles, even if it looks fun. Now I need to order that bypass.
