Hey guys, I need a new clutch as i loose mine after 300 tq. I am looking at doing a hydrulic throw out bearing like quartermaster style. I have seen this setup in person and its pretty impressive and kinda cheap (around the 220 range). Here are a few pics of what I am talking about. Is anyone running this? I am running a R34 pull type transmission so i would have to convert to push, but i dont think that would be an issue. Anyone having issues with a twin disk on the street? Are they loud as hell? Apparently Quartermaster reccommends a 3/4 master cylinder. Here is there website.http://www.quartermasterusa.com/qm/comp ... embly.html

Okay so nobody has given an opinion here or on hybridz so here is mine.

1) You don't need a multiplate clutch for 300ft/lbs. If you want one, that's fine. Just pointing out the obvious.

2) The idea of having to pull the trans if my "slave" blows a seal is horrible. I would do a standard push conversion using the G35 fork that I posted about. It's fairly inexpensive and will give you all the needed parts. That slave setup also isn't a direct bolt-in and knowing what the front plate of the trans looks like I don't know that it would work without some fancy footwork machining.

This is just my opinion of course, feel free to do what you see fit. After owning an RB car and having previously owned a z, I can tell you I usually try to stick with tried and true parts and keep it simple.

Oh I know, i should make more with a better clutch, but i plan on changing the turbos down the road anyway. The shop i was at had these style bearings and the adapter CnCed to fit the rb25 trans.

Okay so you need a CNC'ed adapter and a 220 dollar throw out bearing? I would definitely pass on that unless you want to do it "just because".

They said 220 turn key. It's more for heavy singles.

220 turnkey isn't terrible.

My RPS MAX supports more TQ than my ACT HDGS did and the pedal is way lighter.
