No but then you will have an Illegal brake modification in your vehicle like I do, you also wont pass very many tech inspections as you need a locking brake mechanism IIRC.

Not to mention most Hydraulic E-brake setups have another Fill point like the clutch Master which will IIRC change pedal feel and brake proportioning, which leads me back to the illegal brake modification as you can bypass pedal feel difference with a Staging brake and just hook it in-line to your rear brakes but then when you get pulled over you need to start making up stories or hide it well as a staging brake is something used primarily for burn-outs, and most of them have long hard to conceal handles.

Honestly I would just get the rear z32 e-brake dust shields with shoes, get the conversion line, and use the cable e-brake with the z32's.I've been tracking down the parts so I once again have a a cable e-brake also.

yea im not worried about inspection so much and the ksport e brake has a locking mechanism built into it. the thing i am worried about is that it is almost a strict track car however it is driven on the road occasionally how bad will it be on the road. Also how do you plumb this in do you T in with your rear brake line or is it run in series my guess is line but just to be sure ill ask

Never used a K-sport but I've heard mixed reactions from different level drivers so I can't help you with that, You might have to fab up mounting locations for another caliper for them to work or at least IIRC.ALSO: use stainless steel braided brake lines, even if you need to order them from summit or make them TRUST ME on this, bendable hard lines look like chit in the engine bay and they are a whore and a half to route anywhere from outside in without drilling and cutting.

the Staging brake I got was through CNC custom, about $109 picked up in Cali and because it doesn't have its own fill point I was literally able to run a line from the BMC (the line to the rear brakes) to the staging brake, from the staging brake back into the T at the passenger side of the engine bay to the rears. I'll post up pictures tonight of how I plumbed mine if you want.

almost bought them from him, until I went to sun valley's pick your parts and pulled all the stuff myself out of an engine-less z32 for less than $60 (gas, lunch, and 2 dollar admission included) so go figure 160 vs 60. Its only a good deal if your having it shipped to you, or you do not have the time to go pull em yourself.

luner i would love to see some picks on how you did this and by doing this would i still not need the e brake assembly can this be used as a short term e brake will in park as long as you have a way to hold the lever up thanks

You got it! Sorry it took me so long but work was hell these past two weeks

Excuse the bad picture quality, and photo size I'm hung over and just dug up old photos. this is the route I went while using hard bendable hydraulic lines and a CNC staging brake. The only issue I ran into was the hard lines themselves which I found hard and annoying to route into the car, I eventually went with stainless steel braided lines routed in through the driver side fender well hole and made a shorter circuit of hydraulic cabling.

Hard lines are easily done and require some minor effort in routing them in, where as making your own lines VIA summit stainless steel hosing and fittings was quick, faster to bleed, and overall cleaner apperence in the car itself.

^This is the Business end of the CNC Staging

^side view of Line in and Line out

^god have Mercy I Actually routed hard line through all that in the fender well and drove around line this

^The yellow dot is the OEM coupling that the line from the staging brake goes into.

^Overall engine bay shot of the line to the Master cylinder *note that the new line is silver.

^BMC *note that the new line is silver.

And there ya go!

Any Questions?

nice man, im doing the same thing on my silvia i have R33 brake upgrade, but im using a K-Sport hydro. They come with a locking position so it should pass inspec, but i guess i will have to see whats its like around here. Im using steel braided lines as well cuz there a ton cleaner. But im gunna try and use the stock location if i can, will have to be some crafty fabbing tho, and a custom console set up.
