After replacing the block and getting everything up and running again, I hear ticking sounds coming from under the valve cover. Sounds like my lifters are making noises. The noise appears when the engine is completely up to operating temp. It's strange because it idled for a long time without noise while i had 10-w40 in it. Currently im using 5w-30. I searched around and found that sometimes thicker oil will remedy the problem. It sounded like a band aid, so i wanted to know if there's some other way to fix it. Maybe bleed them somehow or just replace them. I have an extra head that seems to be in good condition and was wondering how involved a "lifter swap" would be. I'm desperately trying to avoid removing the timing chain cover, too. Any help/advice/information would be great. Thanks!

put the lifters in a pan of oil (enough to cover them completely) with the O facing up. Let em soak
