My 240 is the first car i have ever had a hydraulic clutch and i hate it. Right now i have a stage 1 center force and it did not stiffen it up at all. Is it possible to convert the hydraulic system to a pull type system like my mustang?

You mean to CABLE clutch??

If thats what you mean, then thats just ugh....

Cable clutches suck imo and hydrolic clutches are waaaay better.

my mustang and all the other cars i have had, that have been cable type i loved. You have a feel for what you are doing. With this set up now in my car you cant really feel anything and its so light. I hate it.

Either get used to it, or sell it.

It'll probably be a pita to convert it.

Personal problem? Well, first off.....not a mustang.....second of all.....have you had a really strong clutch in a mustang? Be lucky to have hydro when your pushing some ponies in a 240.

Wow really? Yes i have a very strong clutch my friend. Spec stage 4 unsprung, and yes i have some "ponies". A 331 d.s.s. stroker with a hpperformance.com turbo kit gives me some nice "ponies". Also a 410 stroker with a 3+ gives me some nice "ponies". I prefer cables since you can feel it.

I said ponies it to funny not to insult you plus its in your name. Sadly they dont make kits for people like you that perfer cable that I know of, but it just takes a little to find the sweet spot. I said personal problem due to most people happy with the hydro clutch setup.

Have you bypassed the dampner yet? It's not a lot, but it does increase pressure and "feel" of the clutch.Personally I would love to have a clutch with a light pedal and a heavy pressure plate. My GTI has an ACT clutch, which was great as a race car, but annoying now as a daily driver.

Yeah i have done the dampener. I really didnt feel a difference. If i do a steel braided line, would that give me some more feel? I might just sell this stage one and buy a spec 2. But if i can get it stiffer without having to buy another clutch that would be awesome. I only got 2k on this new clutch and motor.

I haven't done it myself, but I would think the braided line would only make a slight difference (like the dampner), since there isn't much rubber line in the clutch system.
