i have done business with gabe over at hybridka and have had nothing but good experiences. Gabe is a really busy guy, he is a fulltime machinist and runs his online business, and does ECU tuning for people as well. He has a slow internet connection so it does take him a while longer to get online respond to tons of people asking for info, read all his emails from customers and reply, and people in need of some help. just give him some time and he will get back to you.

Im glad it sounds like Gabe is cool its just that I emailed them a couple weeks ago about the solid rocker conversion and he never responded. I really need them and just want to buy them somewhere. Does anyone have any idea how to get ahold of some solid rockers for a ka24e?

Hey 12valveturbo, I do not recall your email a couple weeks ago, did you send another?

I am fairly busy most of the time but take care of my mail once a day, send an inquiry over and I can help you with whatever you need.

Hey 12 valve: I've gotten a set from Devious and installing them on a E series for my race car. Very nice work he does. One suggestion, take the threaded adjusters and a 'whet' stone and dress the sharp edges off the adjusters ( the slotted end part) this will relieve any stress risers that may occur on this part. ie: reduce the sharp edge from the machining process. And if you don't know what a 'whet' stone is, all it is a sharping stone for a knife etc. Get them at your hardware store.

I have opted against using a chamfered edge on the adjuster tops due simply to the packaging. They are designed to be as low profile/lightweight and as strong as possible, chamfering the edges would remove 2-3 threads which are currently in use in the locknut, as there are not any protruding threads (depending on cam tower height and base circle).

The other solid lifter conversions that have been available use much taller profile oem type adjusters and require a custom valvecover. With more adjuster protruding out the end you can afford a chamfer for cosmetic purpose, mine dont have material in those areas.

You probably emailed around the time eccs forum was going up, I had an influx of similar ecu mail but I had to prioritize giving it away

I get all kinds of mail concerning nissan and 240sx, I cant answer all of these questions and have to do inbox cleaning constantly. If you are interested in something and dont get a reply, send another mail.

Devious don't get me wrong on chamfering. I agree with what you said regarding reducing the threads by two or three to have a slight taper to the end of the adjuster. Obviously that would be optimium. With any mods' that a person performs, you always CHANGE the basics, it comes with the territory, in that something else may or may not change, most of the time change as you very well know.

Basically, what I was referring to, was to leave the existing threads and just "knock" off the "razor" edge on the end of adjuster with a whet stone, that's all and nothing more.Yes, the motor is coming around. Heck of a time getting parts, backordered etc. Will be there for the 06' race season though.

Gabe...I hear you. I get all kinds of 'clutter' email from people asking about their cars. I used to respond to it, now I just delete it. I simply dont have time to respond to EVERYONE personal email...thats why I started ka-t.org...same reason you started the ECCS forum probably.

I dont think people realize just HOW much email we get each day from all different people essentially asking the same type of question.
