first of all, who wants a fully counterweighted crankshaft and a shorter stroke so our engines will rev?? I wanna stick a KA24E 12 valve head onto a Z22E block with 152.5mm Z20E rods and +1mm overbore VG30E pistons with a L20B fully counterweighted crankshaft, anyone interested? it'd be like 2.1L and with the crossflow head, you could really rev the snot out of it. then maybe stick a turbo on it and throw it back in the 240sx coupe that the head came from. It has a hole on the block, btw. the Z20/Z22/L20b blocks are a dime a dozen, as are parts for them. and the cranks are bulletproof.

This combination should allow you to EASILY spin upwards of 9000 RPMS.

just had another thought, take the Z24 truck motor block, deck it 5.5mm ( i know thats a lot) then stick the L20B crank, some Z24 or KA24 rods (race prepped), and some Z24 or KA24 1mm over 90mm pistons (forged perhaps?). that'd be about 2.2L and a 1.92:1 rod to stroke ratio. I KNOW for a fact that the Z series blocks accept L series crankshafts, but I heard that the KA series have narrower/smaller bearings? not 100% sure anyone wanna clear this up?

edit: youd have to get an adjustable cam gear and perhaps take a link out of the chain to make up for the timing differences caused by deckin planing the block

Yeah I'm not sure the L series cranks work with the KA block. Something to do with the timing chain not lining up. Can't really remember right now.
