The weather has been nice this year so we've taken to a lot of trips.
In the city I get 550kms always, but on our trips I get 550 to 600kms.
Going through the mountains or driving through the plains I get the same, car loaded or unloaded still the same.
This is baffling me cause I thought I would be seeing 700kms Hwy if I get 550 City.
FYI Hwy = 120kph to 140kph

There's your problem!

Typically speaking, fuel economy drops by 5-10% for every 10km/h over 95km/h. Slow down to 105km/h and you should see a corresponding decrease in fuel used. The Rogue is no exception in this regard.

105???????? I would get creamed by a semi or a camper going that slow lol............ seriously though I would :yesnod
My RPM stays at..... I'll say for the most part 2,300. Its not like I'm screaming up huge hills doing a buck sixty.
I will trying staying at the speed limit (110kms) on our next adventure.
Getting my forst oil change in 100km so maybe she will get better yet.

I forgot you guys have a 110 km/h speed limits in AB.

Fuel economy generally improves after the first 5000 km or so.

I know around Calgary if you drive less than 120 you run the risk of getting run over, but I've found that if you can drop your speed to 115 that is a real sweet spot that should give you noticable improvement. At that speed you will still get to your destination at about the same time on a standard 2 or 3 hour trip, and you'll definately get up in to that 600 to 650 km/tank range in summer driving.

Your car is still very new and not yet broken in so be patient, as Philipa240sx pointed out you should see an improvement after a few thousand km's. I live in Lethbridge and make several trips to Calgary each month, so I'd better not see a Rogue doing 140 or be prepared to suffer severe losses in efficiency!!

Yeah it's pretty awesome, I didn't make it out this year due to our newborn baby but I've been most other years and it's always good. And we got a pretty good view from our house which made my 3-year old happy....glad you guys had some fun in our town!

Purchase a Scangauge ($95 at Amazon for the compact E-scangauge version), you will see that at 60mph, you will get 35mpg, at 80mph, you will get 22mpg. My point is, it is hard to generalize highway mileage...

If you go to the Rogue mileage section, you will see that I have posted L/100km results many times as a result of our western trip this summer. We started the trip at 4 700 (in metric, you use a space instead of a comma) and drove 11 384 km in total. 110-115 km/h was, as someone has noted, the sweet spot and ended up having no problems getting 500-600 km a tank. Around town, about 400-450 km is normal. Two observations: drivers around Calgary got my middle finger more often than those on the rest of the trip put together (rarely). (I'm restraining my commentary here.) I also wear driving shoes which allow me to "feel" and feather the gas pedal better.

These posts explain a LOT....we live in NW Washington right near the border with Canada so we see just as much Canadian traffic as we do Washington traffic. My experience is that BC cars tend to drive near the US speed limit in our county (60-70 mph) with the exception of the occasional maniac speeder wanting to go 85 thru the middle of town on I-5. Reminds me of when we lived in California ;-)

The AB drivers all drive like bats out of hell....luckily the Washington Highway Patrol is starting to crack down...so come on down, we need the ticket revenue!

Keeping the throttle open constantly helps you on gas.
If you open and close the throttle a lot from my experience it increases gear ratio.
Cruise control doesn't really help unless its on a flat road.

Ab drivers drive fast.
BC drivers drive like they own the road, cut you off then slam on the brakes is a fav of theirs.
Sask drivers drive like my dead gramps.

FYI Mileage is still the same after 7K

My mileage is getting crappy...before my very fist oil change I was getting 24MPG city and 28-29 highway, i just turned 60k on the odometer, I get 20 city 22 highway. I have only ever used Shell/chevron in my car. I even run a bottle of techron through my car every other month. I also just installed a K&N filter hoping it would help, did not seem to got 22.4 on a 474 mile round trip this week.

If you notice a significant decline in fuel efficiency I would recommend that you mention it to your service shop so they can run a diagnosis. This could be an indication of a problem such as fouled spark plugs, dirty intake, MAF sensor fouled/dirty, fuel injectors, timing and air/fuel ratio etc..

That cotton gauze filter won't help its actually gonna make gas worst.
Cotton gauze let's more air in then paper. More air more power. Cotton gauze also doesn't filter well.
