BEFORE anybody says REPOST, PLEASE read completely. I've read all teh posts on the HVAC bulb replacements, but what i want to do is to put blue LEDs in to match my gauges. What i want to know is if anybody knows of any LEDs that i can put in place of the standard bulbs. I'm kinda looking for those square bulbs that have like 180 degree light range.

Advanced Auto, they have a pack of 4 that have a resistor already wired in(you need it because most LED's are 5v and will pop on our 12v systems, the resistor brings the power going to the bulb down to ~5v). They are over by the ridiculous dress up lights. The only problem with these and most LEDs in the HVAC is that the HVAC uses a acrylic light spreader to get the light from the bulb to the button. the spreader goes around the old bulb and pulls the light coming off at different angles to the direction it will be used.

Here is a place you can get the bulbs on the web if you don't have AAuto near by http://www.superbrightleds.com...t=PCB

Ok, thanks, thats what i kinda figured, I sat down and found a way to get them to work though, i went down to a local store and got some LEDs, they were like 3200 mcd and sanded down the tip of the bulb almost to the point where the light somes from and now theres WAY more angle of light, it looks good too. I'll post some pics up in a few days when i get everything back together and put in

Why dont you just buy an LED with wider angle, dont they make like 180degree ones?

I tried doing same with my 180sx kouki digital cluster, I had a nice white back face light-up, I put some "bright/hyper white" LED's in. Turned my **** to a blue tine, so I just tossed them b!tches away, OEM FTW. All I wanted was for them to make my gauge a little more brighter, but no, had to get that "ricer look" too.

I think they do make wider angled LEDs, well I know they do cause i have them in my gauges. i couldn't find anything local that carried the stuff i wanted. Also I just figured I would give this a shot and see how it turns out, if it works sweet, if not ohwell. that just makes it a learning experience.
