I would like to change a few burnt out bulbs in my 2002 Pathfinders HVAC controls. I have seen that a few people have been successful in doing so. Can you please explain how you have done it?

Thanks!! :bigthumb:

When I did mine I just checked my manual to figure out how to take that section of the dash apart. You need to take the vent with the clock in it off first, then there will be some screws you need to remove to take the front of the HVAC controls off. It's fairly straight-forward once you get that first vent off. Just be sure to use a screwdriver with a cloth wrapped around it to pry the vent off so you don't damage anything.
The bulbs you'll need to replace (there's only two), are at the top of the back side of the HVAC controls. You will see two sets of wires leading to a piece of black plastic that holds each bulb. They pop out if you twist them counter-clockwise, and you can just pull the bulbs out.
Hope this helps!

Well at autoillumination.com I used the Tri-Power 3 LED Bulb which they say is a #74 bulb that replaces the following bulbs:17 18 37 70 73 79 85 86 2721. So it's one of those :gotme
I'd recommend buying from that site, they fit perfectly and light up the HVAC gauges nicely.

Do the two bulbs light up the three control and the air recirculation and a/c buttons as well?

Just the three knobs; Fan, Temperature, and Vents. A/C and Air Recirc. are separate.

Are the A/C and Circulation bulbs also replaceable with LEDs?

Anybody know? I'm about to order a bunch of LEDs and would like to know so I don't have to purchase more later.
