My HVAC fan appears to be running at only one speed....High. Anyone know what causes this, possible fix? All modes work and the fan switch indicator light shows that it is changing up and down to all four positions but it always stays on high. 92 Federal Q with traction. 143000mi.

After 282 post and 15 months here, we feel hurt that you have to ask.

Replace darlington transistor fan speed controller module behind glovebox and inside HVAC unit..........2 screws and plugs into 3 wire harness.......1 hour job at the most.

I just replaced this on my Q. I call the part a resistor...it has another name.

I think it's about 68 dollars from Joe... you just have to take off the glove box, unscrew a few bolts and plug it in... a 45 minute fix.

Easy job.

Joe or one of his people will know exactly what the part is... it failed on my 94....never failed on the 90.

Dennis, I knew EXACTLY who was gonna give me the answer....YOU!And thank you very much. If that information was posted before I'm danged if I could find it. What's REALLY amazing about this board is how QUICK you get an answer to a tech question, within an hour usually, that does not happen on the Viper board lemme tell ya.
