I hope someone here can help me. Last year I printed an old thread from the former UBB forums with a photo of the HVAC display circuit board problem areas(i.e. bad solder traces and leaking capacitors). Now I can't find it anywhere, even after a search. Does anyone have this link archived? It had a good write-up on the procedure and that's next on my Q fix-it list. I know the panel will still function without the display but it is still a real nuisance. I'd rather fix it myself than send it off for repair. Any help or links to that old thread would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,Steve

Rod,

Thanks that's the one, I had given up on finding that photo again. I'll be pulling the panel out soon and will try to replace those caps if they are leaking. If they have leaked I hope they are still legible so I can order them from Newark Elec.. Again thanks for taking the time to answer.

How difficult is it to do? I have a spare one in the trunk that works...but doesn't light up.

Speaking of that... do you still want to do the trade for that spare licence plate holder I have in my garage?

heath---- yes....

I really don't have a need for the display.... I have been thinking about coming to Columbia real soon to do a trade, see your rides, and pick your brain.
