Hi, I'm a newbie here. I would appreciate it if anyone was willing to help me.

I have a 2008 Armada SE. Recently, I've had a very strange thing happen. The blower for the HVAC system is always on. I can turn it off from the console and it confirms off, but it does not turn off. I can change modes, increase fan speed, etc. AC works, all other things are normal, but it doesnt turn off, unless of course the ignition is off.

I disconnected the terminal from the battery post for a minute to see if it would reset. I checked the rear control panel in the ceiling to see if it was on, not.

Any ideas would be appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Greg

Welcome to NICO Greg.

What speed do you think the blower stays on at? Most of the time when they refuse to shut off, its on full power...

I suspect the A/C control head. At the dealership we have seen them do some strange things. Not cutting off, not changing modes etc. If it was the variable control unit (aka the resistor) you would only have problems with the fan speed not changing. But before you throw a $300 part on I would suggest you have your dealer check it out.
