So I left Orlando this morning bright and early (8am, lol) for Miami, with 2 goals in mind. Some guy of club-s12 was parting out an s12 (and I need the auto -> manual swap stuff) so I was meeting him, and I was gonna pick up a CA18DET motorset from Dee for my friend here in Orlando.

I rolled into Miami around 4 hours later, around noon (NEVER been there before, lost as hell) First thing I do is give Dee a ring, and he's kind enough to come meet me at a local McDonalds and direct me all around town. We swung by his place, checked out the CA18 sentra, and dropped off his car, and we head off to find where this kid (with the s12) lives. So we give him a ring; Motherf'er starts saying he's at a friend's house across town and blah blah, won't be home for afew hours. WTF I just drove 4 hours to come get your $200 parts, you knew I was coming (even told him exactly what time to expect me, and that I could only stay afew hours) yet you can't be home when I said I was gonna stop by because you're chillin with your buddy (and you don't have a car?)

Anyways, we decided it was a good time to go grab the motorset from Dee's motor guy. Got a tuned ECU out of the deal (and Dee hooked me up with a lightweight flywheel as well). The motor had some aftermarket cams too It was overall in very clean shape, and very compete. Got it all loaded and in my truck on a pallet with the transmission, and headed back across town to find this kid with the s12.

Its now over 3 hours since I've been in town, I'm only staying 5 hours total (had to be home tonight). The kid still wasn't home, and didn't plan on being home any time in the near future! so Dee says screw this, and took me to some ghetto junkyard (where everyone working there didn't speak English... the cashier was a "fun" experience trying to explain what the parts were, lol) Anyways, we found a manual s12, and all my manual conversion stuff for $45. To think I was gonna pay that kid $200 and he blew it because he's too much of a douchebag to meet up with me (hell I drove 8 hours today at least partially because of him). whatever... all's well that ends well

so the reason for this thread was to say THANKS DEE! You are truely an awesome guy, and a great friend... anytime you're in Orlando, give me a ring man, I'd love to return the favor.

Damn Sean... there are 3 S12s here at that U-pull it. At least one of em has to be 5spd! If anyone needs a CA20E block, they have them there as well for $49.99 + $10 core.

LOL, turns out the chipped ECU is running one of Jez's Horsham Developments Stage 2 chips... I took off the cover and found an email address on the chip, and Jez just replied back to me sweet...

Hey Sean, you definitely wasn't a problem to me and I enjoyed your company as well. Guys, if you've never met Sean in person, he is by far the coolest cat under the sun and I do mean cool. You guys are more than welcomed to holla if you're ever in this neck of the woods. Parts, well this is parts central. Whatever you need can be found around here even some hard to find garbage.

Dee is the man!

He helped me out when I was having trouble getting the injectors I payed for from a guy in Orlando. And thanks to him I got them! He did it out of pure heart.

Thanks again buddy!
