Well....I still don't have internet and was lucky to be without power for only a day...but the damn storm was a lot more than expected and the Q survived with no problems except for a nice salt spray bath. The Q started up no problems during the storm as I had to move it do to flooding as I live on Miami Beach. The vette was parked at a friends house garage with no problems. I still don't have internet access....using a internet cafe PC...but I good news is that I have been out of the office for a week because 4 windows got sucked out of the office downtown along with my PC. I took the time to apply Zaino to my vette and that is some serious stuff. A real pain in the a$$ to put on...but man does that stuff work awesome. My vette now looks like liquid red nail polish it is so shiny and smoothe. Don't know if I will apply this to the Q though.

We lost all the boats out back of the condo and a few cars because a 36' SeaRay broke loose and crashed into the 1st floor parking garage taking several cars with it. I have some stuff on video...but I think my camera is done for as it stopped working during the storm from getting hammered by the rain so I don't know if I can salvage the tape.

Cheers...Rob

Glad to hear all is ok, especially the new vette. It's strange how the storms not expected to be to bad do alot of damage. Ophelia tore this area up because it sat on us for something 16 hours. My Q had to survive a flood and just managed to do so, by like a foot or so. My mothers car wouldn't start for two days!!

Rob - Glad to her your safe, I was worried you were in England and not going to be able to take care of getting your personal things secured.

Hope you get all your personal stuff sorted out quickly, but they can take weeks getting the office back up and running ... as long as they keep paying you .

We had a few locations damaged, that I was there to support the summer. We're taking care of our associates (what we call employees), but of course can't replace some of their valued possessions.

Stay safe.

now the traffic is a real b-tch.....the lack of both working lights and lights period (blew away) is amazing at how it can grid lock everything. It took me 2 hours to get home last 2 nights and another 1.5 hours when it has taken me at most 40min and on average 25 mins. Glad I am headed to London for 5 weeks so when I return all this crap is fixed.

funny thing is that the Q made it through the storm just fine with a salty coat all over it including the inside (live on the beach) but it did not survive the car was. Damn car wash idiots locked the keys in the car and so they tried to get the keys out using a coat hanger which of course did not work. The called AAA and within 10 secs he had it open using some crazy mechanical wire arm clam operated thing and pulling back the window door frame next to the top of the B-pillar. Scary how quickly AAA got the car opened. They told me car locked on its own which I tought was possible due to the storm but after driving the car several times I have not had the mysterious door locks locking automatically so they F-cked up not the car.

Actually rob my Q does that on a very rare occasion... Dont rule it out... it always happens right after I wash the car, i wonder if water gets in the connectors and grounds the circuit...

Did you say you had salt crap in the INTERIOR of the car?

nice pics man....I will send Wes a video tape from my condo on the beach tonight to host.

Wes....the force of the wind was so strong that I had a light coating of salt on the inside of my car around the door handles, etc. A hurricane is something you have to experience in person to truely appreciate the brute force of mother nature and what she can do. I have lived in Florida my whole life going through Andrew, Opal, Ivan, and now Wilma which are the big ones that I personally experienced and remember easily the damage...there were numerous smaller ones but are not rememberable. The force of the wind can be so strong that it will force anything trough the smallest of cracks....especially wind driven salt.

Both Miami & Ft. Lauderdale schools are still out until this Thursday at the earliest. That is almost 2 straight weeks of no school.

Wow impressive indeed..... The Q held its ground..... Were any other cars damaged in the area where you had the Q?

I can just see Rob going down into the parking garage, every other car destroyed and the Q is just sitting there in the middle, without ANY damage, not even a leaf near it, and hes either grinning or VERY pissed......
