Is there any reason that you cannot balance an after market rim w/o a lip on the Hunter 9700?

My service writer at the dealership tells me that I'm best taking it somewhere else and that they won't guarantee it.

He also was not aware that rotating the tire on the rim would aid in balancing the wheel

I already had them done, but they are not balanced - theres a noticable vibration at hwy speed - so I brought it back and he said theyll try again.

It sounds like these guys need to crack open the Hunter 9700 manual that came with the machine:pface . There is no reason they could not use the machine unless these are wire rims or something like that.

Balancing and radial force cancellation [rotating tire on rim] are different things...........so is making sure the wheel meets oem specs for runout.........long before you try and misbalance and misposition the tire and the wheel to correct other problems.

I assume a marking on the tire indicates that they were radial force cancelled when mounted?
