I have a 1995 Q with a constant hum in the rear. I went into the trunk and it seems to be coming from the fuel pump. Could it possibly be on its last leg? I normally listen to my music w/volume. So the sound just became apparent. The fuel pump looks like an easy plug and play type install, correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for any assistance.

You're probably correct. Call IoS today and get the O ring and some fuel filters (at least!) too while there is an additional 10% off this month.

it is VERY important to get a new o-ring

unless you want to get high off gasoline whenever you put a full tank

O ring is USE ONCE because it stretches into position to seal correctly!!!!!!Removing rear seat and rear storage and package shelf is the hard part.

The unit must be angled up and out.

Most poeple hurry and bend the fuel level sensor and the gauge reads wrong forever after...................slow and careful.

Of course all of this is covered in Tangalora's benchmark post in IOM.
