Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Especially when at 60mph at corners. The steering gets heavier and more resistant and there's a humming sound coming from the front tires direction. It doesn't bother me much but I thought I'd ask if this is normal.
I also noticed some delayed response when flooring the gas pedal. The car is more respondent if I floor it gradually. It also shifts and responds better in manual mode, however, in D it takes about a second to respond.

Humming sound is normal if you tend to drive aggressivley, specially on turns. I had that happened so many times before. I believe it is the steering humming. Sound disappear when you don't rev it much or restart the car.
Use manual mode to lessen the delay of the transmission. I hate using D mode on a busy street where you need to manuever or accelerate quickly.

Same response here when flooring it VS gradually putting hammer down... It took me a LONG time to get used to it coming from my RDX, but it is similar feeling to the Lexus products I have driven. Now that I am used to it, I know how to use it and what to expect if I just floor it while on the freeway or on-ramp...A hesitation while it figures out if it should drop one gear or two gears... I usually just throw it in DS mode (if it isn't already there) and downshift manually. DS mode also has some quirks to 'get used to'...such as how long it holds gears and when to expect it to shift (when not shifting manually.)
