May 16, 2008 -- WASHINGTON - What is it about the word "appeasement" that got Barack Obama's ears ringing?

Without once uttering the freshman anti-war senator's name, President Bush warned against negotiating with terrorists on the futile hope that a little more dialogue will turn these satanic beasts from their death pact to wipe Israel off the map and kill as many American men, women and children as possible.

Obama, who has proposed meeting with the leaders of Iran, Syria and North Korea just as soon as he gets into the White House, heard his name somewhere in the president's speech and quickly issued a press release.

The White House insisted Obama was simply suffering from the narcissism that convinces so many politicians that everyone is talking about them.

Top Democratic leaders, including Sen. Chuck Schumer, called it a below-the-belt political attack.

It is beyond comprehension that anyone would suggest that this is somehow not a pressing matter of political discussion in an election year.

Or maybe Democrats are just now figuring out that Obama's position here might leave him open to withering attacks.

Well, it's a little late for that.

He's their nominee and they've got to go with it.

If Obama doesn't add a little muscle to his approach to dealing with evil in the world, Republicans are going to be offering a suggested running mate for his ticket.

Someone, say, to beef up Obama's thin foreign-policy résumé and who agrees with his world philosophy: Sounds like a job for Jimmy Carter.

Let's see if I have this correct.1. McCain wants more of the same.2. Obama wants to give the country away.3. Hillary wants to nuke Iran.

It's that easy. The solution is well-motivated PMC's augmented by our own special forces. There's no need to be using the broadsword that is the US military to continue to invade nations when neither the governments nor the militaries of these nations are actually posing a threat to us.

Fight terror with terror. They have the money to sponsor wackos to attack us, we have MORE money to sponsor scarier and better-armed wackos to attack them. We're CAPITALISTS, let's embrace it for once.

EDIT: I'm not arguing we should go after civilians, but why assault a nation when we can just assault the people responsible for the act(s) in question?

What I find strange is that in 20 years Obama never heard his favorite minister spew racist and anti-American remarks (nor his own wife), BUT he can associate his name in a 20 second clip in which it was never mentioned.

I agree, we should ignore the right wing.

Why would Blackwater need to get involved? Our own special forces could take out OBL; we just need to step on Pakistan's toes a little bit.

That's the problem. You can't just go around the world stepping on countries' toes. They get mad, and most countries have allies and Armies.

Well I personally believe in bringing back imperialism, but I don't think that would fly in todays political climate. Don't rebuild Iraq, plant the flag. Then we can do w/e the f we want to them as it is now a civil war .
