ok. lets start off with the basic info, i have a 92 240 with a redtop sr20det.

Now, the problem.

i just got the sr swap running today, which by the way it started up first turn of the key like a champ! anyways, after i started it my friend told me to shut her down. then he said i must have been missing a gallery plug. so we tracked it down and plugged it. then we relized there was more, mostly under the intake manifold(1, maybe 2) and the front cover had alot of oil on it(which i think i tracked down to the timing chain tensioner). my question is, can someone list specific places on the block with these gallery plugs so i can check them all or any place vulnerable to a problem of this sort. thanks for any help.

As for tensioner leaking, replace gasket. Same as FWD SR.

Are you talking about those soft plugs? Im not really sure what you mean by gallery plugs...

Anyways, if you are talking about freeze plugs then here are some pictures I took when I was rebuilding my engine. You can make out their location from these pictures.

got a block leak tester and i will be checking today or tomorrow. from the info i gather looks like front main seal might be bad, also the timing belt tensioner is leaking. any idea if i can just take that off put a new gasket on and put it back in without messing up the timing at all, i dred having to do timing again.

Yes you can take off the tensioner and just replace the gasket then put it back in. Takes 10 mins.

yea just make sure you install it with the clip on so that the tensioner is compressed. You will see what I mean when you take the tesioner off.

And after installing turn the crank COUNTER clockwise few times to get the tensioner to pop out again
