Ok so I bought myself a 1995 300ZX TT 3 months ago, Car has been great but now I have a MASSIVE coolant leak and this is the story behind it:
Like a week ago I drove the car to college ( this is not my daily driver ) and came back everyhing was fine, then I took it for a ride to see is the radio was working and it overheated, I added coolant and overheated again ( did not think it was a leak that day because it was rainning ) so today I got under the car and I think the leak is comming from the driver side turbo are, you don t even need to star the car, as soon as you top it off with coolant it start to leak a lot, anybody could tell me if there is a hose going to the turbo or what else could be thats on the driver side rear of the engine

thanks a lot!!

There are coolant lines going to the turbos. There is a PITA one that is on the driver side, back of the engine. With the engine in, the easiest way is to go from the bottom. You may need to drop the transmission to get to it if you have Gargantuan hands. It will piss you off, cause the rubber hose is only maybe 6" long. Very small piece. But double check before doing all that work, have someone pour in water while you look in that area.

As soon as you put coolant in it, it starts to pour down not even with the engine on, I would prefer not todrop the transmission to fix that, do you guys think it could be done by pulling the plenum out ? I need to do that anyways because I need to replace my valve cover gaskets
Also, it wuold be mos likely the hoses are gone right ?
Thanks for the help!!

Well since you have the plenum off do the coolant line delete. It may be possible, but I know its a lot tougher from the top. Just try and get it from the bottom first. You may end up going at both ways. The line is roughly 6-8" down after you take off the plenum. The biggest issue you have is no room to get anything in there from the top and the transmission gets in the way along with down pipe at the bottom. It can be done without taking anything out, its just very difficult. One thing that really helped out is to use fuel line, doesn't have to be fuel injected, carb line works just as good.

Yes, replace all your coolant lines.
